Dr. Todd and the Magical Dental Chair to Oz
In Dr. Todd and the Magical Dental Chair to Oz,
it is time for Tommy Gilbert to visit the Dentist once more. He is nine and
one-half years old and has had the older children at school telling him all
about what he can expect to happen at the dentist office.
Tommy is not happy about visiting the dentist. Tommy's mother, Tammy, takes him to the dentist office to make sure he gets there
okay and to make sure he does turn it into a visit to the Land of Oz.
After all, Tammy knows that adults don't believe in the Land of Oz! During Tommy's dental checkup, a cavity is found! The dentist isn't worried
about and doesn't want to do anything to the little cavity at this time. Tommy
is worried that it will grow into a BIG cavity! Finally, the dentist decides
to fill the cavity. Everything goes fine. Just as they are finished with Tommy, the lights go off and things start spinning around. The next thing they know, all of them end up in Oz with Dr. Todd becoming the Royal Dentist of Oz. Of course Tommy's mother doesn't believe they are in Oz. While they are there, they find out that the Wizard has a tooth ache. Will Tommy's mother learn to believe in the Land of Oz? Will the Wizard's tooth ache get cured? Do other people in Oz have dental problems? You will need to read the book to find out the answers to these and many more questions. |
