| Parkdale Pub, minus Simon Le Bon, seemed to have a bit of an off night. Dufour showed no mercy at the plate or in the field. Even though neither game was ever in doubt, there still were a couple of great defensive plays highlighted by Paul Flemmings amazing grab at third. Equally amazing was Flemmings ability to show up 7 minutes early and stay for the duration of BOTH games. At the plate, Dufour remained fairly steady, getting homeruns by both Clance and Nopy. The new guy with the McDonalds visor didnt have a great night at the plate, even posting a backwards McK. Perhaps the new guy was distracted by the appearance of the Hamburgler in the outfield, or Grimace stumping around looking for a Shamrock Shake. These illusions were the result of a Filet-O-Fish from the Harbour. Yes President McCheese really got his moneys worth with that meal deal. Unfortunately, an extremely accurate ball hit him in the McNugget and he had to sit a few innings on the McBench. The hardest thing for Dufour on this night was to find something positive to say to Parkdale while shaking hands. Comments such as Way to show up on time for the game guys, and Way to come through with the bases were the best the squad could come up with. On another positive note, Dufour finally fielded a full team. The true test comes over the next few weeks. Tough schedule aheada lot of work is required to repeat as season McChampions. #43 out. |
