G A M E S U M M A R Y Versus: STEEL KINGS Wednesday, August 20
GAME #1 DUFOUR: 18 STEEL KINGS: 16
GAME #2 DUFOUR: 12 STEEL KINGS: 6
Screeeeeech. Thats the sound of Dufours losing streak coming to a halt. The longest streak in recent memory ended with a sweep of the pesky Steel Kings. Had they used the services of the Human Pez Dispenser, the results may have been different. The bats have certainly come alive for Dufour a good sign heading into the final two weeks before playoffs. The defence could use a little work, with a few errors in the infield and a few misplayed balls in the outfield one of these resulted in Darryl 2 for August Maunder running head-first into the fence; 225 lbs is not supposed to bend like that. Even after this collision and the brief sensation of being blind (his hat fell over his eyes), Darryl managed to scramble to the ball and throw it in. Don Cherry would be proud. At the plate, Nopy notched one dinger and Clancey had a lovely night at the plate with the hat trick to pull within one of the HR lead. With regards to Nopys family excursion conflict for the playoffs, perhaps someone with a smaller batting average can take his place? #43 will volunteer Does Kim have a room at Crystal Palace separate from the kids? That jungle theme room is going to be rockin! #43 out.
