G A M E S U M M A R Y Versus: LIGHTING SOURCE Monday, July 15
GAME #1 DUFOUR: 15 LIGHTING SOURCE: 9
GAME #2 DUFOUR: 26 LIGHTING SOURCE: 7
Was this the team that was tied for first with us up until last evening? After these two games Dufour left nobody to question who should ride the top of this league...alone that is. 16 and 2 has us comfortably looking at the seven other teams chasing our tail, and on this night we did it with an exclamation point. Twenty some odd runs in a game is beginning to seem very commonplace, only to be accompanied by very steady defence that continues to bewilder hard-hitting teams Team hitting was again at a premium from the top of the order to the bottom. I would be out of line if I were not to start with the fantastic night at the plate for one Dave Marcattili. The bat of old came out for this game, 6 for 7 with a couple of RBI"s for good measure have our catcher finally with a smile. Well done Daveyboy!! Maunder...what can I say?? you da man!! Keep up that pace baby!! Alex...perfect again tonight seems to be setting up the top of our order beautifully. On the opposite side of the ball the boys look composed, comfortable and fired up. Tight seamed in the infield, and few holes in the outfield a la Dave Welcher, sliding grab and all. 26 and 2 would have to be some kind of league record and I see no reason as to why we can't attain it. Great effort last night whether you find your name in this write-up or not. Oland's next......Giddeeup!! Oh yeah!! alcohol free on the Island would be good prep for Tuesday...............OK then!! # 10 out!!
