| The crack of the reality whip can be the most severe when least expected. Dufour showed up on this Thursday night to stink up the joint and were very lucky to get the split. One win, and a heart-wrenching loss that ends a regular season win streak at 22 games. Contrary to last games team slugging of .650 the silver and blacks batted a horrid .427 so look no further for a reason as to our lackluster play on this evening than that number...we batted the shits!!!! Without naming names, seven of our players at the plate tonight combined for a dismal 5 for 38. Adrian Morgan, and Darryl Maunder may be excused from these thrashings for it was their bats that kept us from going winless in both tilts. In the field we also made just enough errors, and silly plays to let the Steel Kings slip in and sneak a win from us. I need not talk much more about our worst outing to date so on that note some fines. $20.00 To the seven previously mentioned bats, you know who you are, and the cages at the playland are open til 10:00. $10.00 To our hottest bat not in the line-up during desperate times. The Dufour finance comittee will offer Alex Stuart any amount of cash to buy his old glove back...yikes!! Negative commentary from a poor effort, but I also suspect this team will land on it's feet!!! 10 out!!! |
