| A rainy, and dismal Thursday was not nearly enough to keep the Dufour squad, and Olands from getting these two games in. Jr's potatoe for nine was excused by all for it was his tireless effort from 6:00 AM that simply had the field ready for play. Two more wins in the mud have Dufour in a comfortable and familiar place...on top of the league standing's. Could we be once again saving all of our losses for another sad weekend in September???, only time will tell. W's were made possible by a well rounded hitting display on this particular evening. Exhibit A... Dan Munden with a very solid 6 for 7, and 5 RBI night. Not to mention a hell of an outing on the mound by this seasoned vet. Exhibit B... Scotty Trav...a run of the mill 7 for 8, 5 runs, and 2 long bombs seem commonplace for this .800 hitter. Exhibit C... Darryl Maunder racking up a mere 6 RBI's, and a tater has this young buck adjusting very well from the local hardball leagues. Accompanied with an ever improving defensive effort should have the boys with an early eye on this year's league trophy. Premature...maybe! I like to say "stirring the pot", and confident.
