G A M E S U M M A R Y Versus: TWIN CITIES Monday, July 30
GAME #1 DUFOUR: 10 TWIN CITIES: 4
GAME #2 DUFOUR: 13 TWIN CITIES: 4
Another impressive sweep. Its starting to sound like a broken record, but the Dufour squad continues to plow through the league. Defense was the name of the game on this night. After giving up three runs in the first inning of the first game, Dufour surrendered only 1 more run in the bottom of the 7th to cruise to a 10-4 victory. The outfield had a great game with an unassisted double play by Junior, two rifles from Alex to throw base runners out, and an assisted double play from right field to first base to home to stop a run and end the inning. Of note on this night was the absence of the smile on Jamie Reids face that was so prominent during Thursdays Cycle night. Reid was obviously still feeling the effects of the cross-province tour in a Limited Edition RV that included golf and beverages for three straight days. This promotion, of course, is awarded to any Dufour player that hits for the cycle, and is generously donated by Jules Dufour Sr. So step up to the plate boys and hit the cycle. But dont hope for a Monday game, youll need a few days to recover, eh Reider? Up next for Dufour is their arch rivals, Eastsides. The boys could be a bit shorthanded, but judging by how well the team is playing, there should be no worries. 24-4 is still alive!
