| Special Guest Columnist Scotty 'Scoop' Travis Well Dufour was firing on all pistons on this occasion. The Team took both ends of the double-header and have never looked like such a team! The team's General Manager had to make some game time calls as Dufour was short-staffed. These calls obviously paid off as Dufour swept the mighty Daylight team. A couple of game notes: Nopie smacked a HUGE shot over the fence to lead the team with 4 home runs - must be the skinnies; and Darryl Maunder once again played in extreme pain - he was seen walking down the third base line with Nopie and Welcher just before game time... GM Jules Dufour isn't sure how 5th year right fielder Colin "I used to bat at the top of the order" Piccott will adapt to batting behind Marro in the 14th spot! This Ready-Mix wonder went 5 for 6 and will surely be on the call-up list for future games. The Dufour Squad will charge through the playoffs to VICTORY if we continue to play like this. Let's aim for a 24-4 record. We CAN do it! Travis is Out! |
