| An offensive display unprecedented in recent Dufour Softball memory. A total of 60 hits in only 13 at bats. Although only 4 home runs went down in the books, a HUGE shot by Scotty Trav was penciled in as a triple, due to the five-run rule. Props to Trav. Clance also had a monster shot (with the bases already cleared by Junior�s hustle, turning a single into a four-bagger). The outfield had some shaky moments, highlighted by Darryl�s face plant in right centre. Knocked out for a few seconds, Darryl thought he was in the field at RJH and Wally Bower had just called a ground rule double in soccer baseball. And the term �I got it� does not hold as much water coming from right field as it used to. But other than those minor fumbles, the team continues to storm through the league with its 10th straight victory. Up next is a payback game against the Scramblers. The Scramblers swept Dufour way back on opening day. Revenge is a dish best served cold. Let�s make it 12 in a row come Monday. |
