I am currently in first year, and am studying various subjects such as Programming, Systems Analysis & Design, Technology, Web Development, Operating Systems, Networking, Business Statistics, Financial and Management Accounting, Economics, Management and Industrial Psychology. These topics appeal to me as I have always had an interest in them, and they are definitely the areas in which I would hope to be employed in the future.
1997 - 2003 Presentation Brothers College, Mardyke, Cork
I completed my Leaving Certificate examinations in June 2003, and received my results in August 2003. The maximum number of points attainable in the Leaving Certificate is 600. My results were as follows:

I also completed my Junior Certificate examinations during my time in PBC. I achieved ten honours in the following subjects (all Higher Level): Irish; English; Maths; French; German; History; Geography; Science; Business Studies; Civic, Social and Political Education (CSPE).

Experience
2003-2004 Dunnes Stores, Douglas Court Shopping Centre, Cork
I worked in Dunnes Stores from October 2003 to January 2004 in the Delicatessen department. During my time at Dunnes I learned to interact with a large base of customers, improving my social skills. I also learned what it was like to be employed in a large organisational structure with several different managerial levels.
Summer 2003 Anderlift Safety Services Ltd, Lr. Glanmire Rd., Cork
For the duration of summer 2003, I worked in Anderlift Safety Services Ltd. While there, I set up their computer network, installed their PCs and systems software, set up their accountancy packages and, most significantly, designed their website. You can find the completed work at http://www.anderlift.ie on the World Wide Web.
2001-2003 Safeheight Ltd, Lr. Glanmire Rd., Cork
Each summer from 2001 to 2003, I worked in Safeheight Ltd, and was responsible for many different tasks. One year I was responsible for the day-to-day book-keeping and secretarial duties such as typing, letter-writing and customer relations. The other years I was responsible for the maintenance of Safeheight's computer network, the upgrading and repairing of their PCs and Systems Software, and the design of their website.
1998-2001 Anderco Lifting Ltd, Alfred St., Cork
For the summers between 1998 and 2001, I worked for Anderco Lifting Ltd. as a Sales Assistant. I was responsible for the creation of wire rope systems, chain systems, the testing of safety blocks, harnesses and other height safety equipment. I also had to deal with customers continuously, by means of invoicing and the provision of safety certificates.
January 2001 Reliable Data Ltd, Glanmire Industrial Est., Sallybrook, Co. Cork
I worked for RDL during my transition year work experience term. I learned a great deal about various aspects of IT such as computer networking and installation of accountancy systems on computers while working there. I was responsible for the installation of several new machines in RDL's own offices, as well as connecting them to their existing network. I also upgraded and repaired many of their customer's PCs.
January 2001 St. Columba's School for the Hearing Impaired, Douglas, Cork
Also during my transition year programme, I worked for the School for the Hearing Impaired in Douglas. I learned many new social skills while working here, especially in communicating with people with disabilities. Despite our inability to speak to each other, I was still able to teach the children to use computers, help them with their homework and show them soccer skills.
