As it turned out, she had nothing to worry about. When it came time to clutch, Kitanath was very easy going. She picked a vacant spot, laid her clutch of thirteen, and left the eggs to the professionals, as she put it. I am better than those silly golds; I know when I am not needed, and would only be in the way. They are perfectly capable of taking care of my eggs.
While Jaicie was a bit shocked at her dragons opinion of the queens, she was glad Kitanath had decided not to stay with the eggs. Hopefully she wouldn't feel too bad if some of them turned out to be duds.
