| This group of guys hail from Waldorf, MD. Which isn't that far from me. I saw them at 99.1's HFStival in 2000 and have been hooked ever since. Honestly, my friend Tara and I were in line for corndogs when we heard them and we both said "That band sounds good, let's check 'em out." So we walked over to the street stage and here were these five guys (now four) from Waldorf. They rocked. We looked 'em up online and have been huge fans since. So far I've seen them four times. We went and saw them at Recher Theater on October 6, 2000. After their set, we met Joel, Benji, and Lil' Billy. Benji was by far the coolest. He stopped and signed our stuff and then talked with us for a few minutes. He told us we were some cool kids and gave us a big group hug. So if you haven't heard these guys, go buy their first self-titled album and then on October 1, 2002 go buy their 2nd album, the Young and the Hopeless. (buy their DVD too cuz it has footage from the 2002 HFStival.) And if you really like them, or just rock music in general, check out Benji and Joel hosting MTV's All Things Rock. It comes on late at night, most recently 12am & 12:30am. |
