Paul's Alfetta GT 1.8

This is my friend Paul's Alfetta GT 1.8 Turbo

Originally the car was Supercharged - and it was an AWESOME setup ! Running a maximum of  18psi boost - the Supercharger and a whole host of other modifications (see the data link) helped Paul achieve approx 200bhp at the rear wheels. Having reached both a milestone & a limitation with the Supercharger, Paul sought out a new challenge - that being going back to the "drawing board" so to speak - and remove the SC setup and install a Turbo-charged setup.

This new Turbo project has been completed and is a huge improvement over the old supercharger setup. Running a nice Garret GT25BB Turbo, Motec ECU and other hi-tech fitments, the HP output has already exceeded 320BHP (rear wheels) on the dyno running about 20psi of boost, and with more to come with the increase in boost pressure to a maximum of 30psi, we are expecting big things from this car in 2004.

Although this vehicle is in concourse condition, it is also a serious track/strip car. Paul is contemplating on running it at the new Eastern Creek drag strip sometime in the first half of 2004. I also want to run my Alfetta sedan there as well - we don't want to kill the drive-trains but just want to "test" the Alfa's to see what sort of times they are capable of.  We also aim to take them out on the circuit, and have already planned a few trips to the Wakefield Park circuit in early 2004.
