| Details : | Located in the heart of Malacca town, 90% of its voters are in urban areas.This is also the heart land of the DAP since 1969. It is the only constituency here with the highest number of
Chinese voters of whom nearly 80% are traders and businessmen. A number of Chinese and government aided schools are also located here. A high concentration of minority communities such as the Portuguese community have a settlement in Ujong Pasir. The Chittys and the Baba Nonyas are also scattered around the constituency.
