| Details : | The home town of Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Abu Hassan Omar is famous for the fireflies at Kampong Kuantan and Kampong Belimbing, a lighthouse and a British fort at Bukit Melawati and the Kuala Selangor Nature Park. The coastal area is covered with mangrove swamp attracting a lot of migrant birds. Quite a laidback area with mainly farmers, fishermen and estate workers. Agriculture is the main activity here while Ijok is emerging as an industrial area. There is some resistance to the Sungai Selangor dam project as the area around the fireflies villages would be submerged once the dam is completed.
