Voters are mainly lower-income earners comprising farmers, fishermen, petty traders and estate workers.Besides padi, crops such as mango, corn and Langkawi melon are planted mainly for the export market. The padi farmers want a better irrigation system. One of the major local manufacturers, Khind is based here. |
