What an awesome night!

We practiced our tail off for this game, and all that hard work went really well! We fought against Alabama State and won 38 to 6! They didn't have crap against the HSU football team, and...had they had enough funds to bring their band, they wouldn't have ANYTHING on the SHOWBAND!! We're just that awesome!!

The band was really loud, so that was awesome! I finally get to be in a band where I can play loud all the time, and play past my "boundaries" when asked to.

The crowd was really spirited: There were guys w/out shirts who were completely painted and had words painted on them over it, there was a huge beach ball that went bouncing around in the stands, there were noise-makers (other than the band), there were screamers, there were streakers...

... okay I'm just kidding, lol - there weren't any of those; thank God.

We got out on the field at half-time and ran the show, and it was powerful, energetic, and hardcore. We received a lot of good comments, and some people even said that it made them want to come to the next game. That's pretty cool, especially since it was coming from a girl who doesn't like sports, just the band. That's pretty cool :)

Since we did so well, our director is giving us tomorrow off.. so we have no band! I will be coming home this weekend on Saturday sometime to celebrate my b-day; a cook-out with family and friends alike. I'm really excited! I'm ready to go back, even though it's just one day.

Well...that's all for now. It's 12:23 AM and I'm about to go to a frat party with most of the band, so... lol... it's going to be very early when I finally get back in.
