So the past couple of weeks have been interesting enough...
I went home for the labor day weekend and had a great time. I spent time with my friends and family, which was a blast :D
I left part of my laptop cable at my friend's house....
UGGH!!
I went a WEEK without a laptop; it sucked really bad. I had to wait for it to get mailed back in. How ironic, too, because suddenly I needed some files from it that were necessary for class.
Yeaaah...
So that was bad, but it's okay now :D
The opener, as I think I've stated before, is fully on the field! In fact, so is our second tune! We have a little bit of clean up to do, but then we will start our third tune, which is actually a medley: Don't Stand So Close to Me and Message in a Bottle (both by Sting and the Police, of course.)
I know for sure we will have the first two songs on the field by our first game, which is THURSDAY the 20th. I asked about why the game was on Thursday, and I was told that it was a rare game day.
I have no idea why it's on a Thursday, but... whatever :D
After our game that Thursday, there is NOT one that Saturday, but there is the next, Sat. the 29th. (I believe...I will check up on that)
I've heard that pictures will be taken and posted on the band website. If that is true, I will let you all know.

Things are getting a little out of hand. I'm finding it fairly difficult managing my time. I have sooo many things that I have to remember, and I try to write them down and remember them all, but sometimes I just forgot.
I have a euphonium/piano recital I am supposed to give in about a MONTH, I have violin exercises that I'm trying to learn, I have Tuba/Euph music that I'm having to prepare for The OcTUBA fest in October. I also have Low Brass Studio tunes that I have to know before a certain date. On top of all that, I also have a Piano solo that I am preparing, a sight-singing duet that I must sing with a partner in front of the class, I also have to memorize all my show music and some imporant songs like the Star-Spangled banner; we have a weird version.
There is NO balance. I'm literally practicing my ass off. Yesterday after String Orchestra (which ended at 5), I had dinner as soon as orchestra let out, and I was in a practice room from about 6:15-ish to 11:30pm. I managed to touch briefly on music for showband, tuba/euph, low brass studio, violin, piano, and voice. I spent a bit less than an hour for each. I was really tired and SICK of music by then, lol.
Today I spent 5 hours in the practice room, and Monday I spent 3. Tomorrow I need to spend about 4.
My social life is.. not happening lol. I see my friends during classes and stuff, but everytime they want to hang out, I am practicing. Most of them aren't as busy as I am. :/
I am somehow managing to have a little bit of fun throughout all of this, but if it gets any more difficult, it will not be fun at all. I'm not really struggling right now, but I'm definitely going down that path.
Well, it's nearly 1AM here, lol - so I am going to go. I have a 10AM class (yay! I get to sleep in once this week!)
tty all later :D
