You've all seen these big red balls in powerlines to help helicopter pilots avoid hitting the lines. I had my co-pilot, Ed Hahn, convinced that he had brushed a powerline that morning and knocked the ball down while he was on the controls during our morning range sweep. In reality, the 30 to 40 mph wind had knocked the ball down the night before. Still, this picture could make a great story.
