South African Solarcycle
Amateur solar observation in South Africa can play a great role in this field of astronomy.
Most of the year we have clear skies.

In April 2003 we started to develope a South African Sunspot number and the graph shows the downward trent of the current cycle.

A monthly solar bulletin based on Southern African observations can be viewed at the ASSA websites.

Observers in Southern Africa are welcome to be part of this observation program and information can be obtained at the e mail address on top of this page.
