I've found that I can teach really anything over the phone regarding math and physics, I guess because phone conversation is so close to being face to face. The key advantage over a regular tutor though is that I'm available to help at almost any time. I also offer answering questions by E-mail or fax, and if you can overcome your conceptual problem by seeing how a few problems were worked out on paper, that's great. But my guess is you'll be in a situation where you've already seen examples, but are still having trouble with something. That's when two way dialog comes in handy. I can explain things to you, and you can interrupt me whenever you want me to explain a point differently, or expound, or really bear down on that point to see where your problem is.

Get phone tutoring for as long or as short as you want! At 33 cents per minute, it's finally affordable to get outstanding tutoring (you'll be amazed how effectively I can explain things to you). For example, a half hour session is only $9.90 or an hour session is only $19.80.

I received my BS degree in physics (3.9 GPA) two years ago and have since been inventing stuff and trying to write patents for it (I've found this to be time consuming!). I worked at a Sylvan learning center for about a year, tutoring students from kindergarten to 12th grade. I'm very effective at helping students understand the subject matter, and I've found that tutoring over the phone is just as good as tutoring face to face (actually better because you can call me whenever you or your child needs help!).
