*Winning team to call/email scores to Jason Turfler. If we do not receive the score information the win will count as a one run victory. This may affect your playoff standings when run differential is used for head to head match-ups. A coin flip may be used to determine your playoff ranking in case of a tie in the standings.
**Regular season games may or may not be made up due to limited number of weeks prior to new SROP leagues starting. We have two weeks available, beyond that we will likely not make up additional games.
***During playoffs the team with best record has their choice of being home or visitor. Only possible exception is in the final. The team with coming out of the winner’s bracket may choose (for both games if the second is necessary).

Key points of clarification about this league:
· (WOOD) Bat policy:
o I don’t care what kind of bat it is as long as it is WOOD. Wood Baseball bats are OK, Wood Softball bats are OK, corked wood bats are OK (Harvard did a study that a lighter bats gives faster bat speed, but reduces the mass, thus giving no advantage).
· Ball – this league intends to use a regular flight ball (not limited flight). This is subject to change at the discretion of the commissioners. However, it is intended that the league will begin the season with regular flight balls.
o Note: not to be confused with “juiced” softballs (as used in Poway), but will have more “pop” than other SROP league balls.
· Home Run rule (different than the night league rule):
o If one team goes ahead by two homeruns, the second is counted as a double.
§ Runners advance two bases, just like any other ground rule double. For instance, if there was only a man on second when the HR was hit, he scores.
o If the other team his a HR, the teams are now tied 1 each (since the second HR only counted as a double. HRs are only counted when the batter goes 4 bases). If either team hits a homerun at this point, it is considered a HR.
