"In my opinion the trombone is the true head of that family of wind instruments that I have named the epic one. It possesses nobility and grandeur to the highest degree; it has all the serious and powerful tones of sublime musical poetry, from religious, calm and imposing accents to savage outbursts. Directed by the will of a master, the trombone can chant like a choir of priests, threaten, utter gloomy sighs, a mournful lament or a bright hymn of glory, they can break forth into awe-inspiring cries and awaken the dead or doom the living with their fearful voices."
-Hector Berlioz, Treatise on Orchestration

JJPLB FIRST PLACE!!! WON SECTION DRILL!!!

Welcome to the new JJP Low Brass site. I got tired of Dennis' design, and since I can't do java, I thought I'd redesign the entire thing in HTML. Enough of that though, on to why we're better than the rest of the band.

First of all, more loud still=more good, since LB=loud, LB=more good. It's basic math. Another reason LB is good is because we decided we were, and who better to decide that than us?

The LB is made up of trombones, euphoniums, and tubas, although no one remembers the euphoniums...

This is actually the second low brass website out there. The original one can be found
here. It hasn't been updated in 4 years and noone knows the password, so it really only museum now.
