This tool models the addition and subtraction of whole numbers using "blocks" (like Cuisenaire rods). You drag-and-drop blocks into the "answer" area. When appropriate, a clickable "carry" or "borrow" arrow appears.
BlockHead is implemented as a script in the Python programming language. To run BlockHead using the source code, you need the following software:
* A standard Python installation, which includes the Tkinter graphics module
To run the Windows executable:
* Unpack the downloaded ZIP file into any folder
* Open that folder and execute the program BlockHead.exe
