There are many different breeds of hunting dogs. Some sport long hair, some very short. Some are very, very big.
And some are very small. But what they have in common is that they are bred to hunt. They live, and love, to please their owners with
that final catch and retrieval that leads them to praise and honor!
My family and I raise, and sell, English Pointers and Labrador Retrievers here on 8 acres in the
lovely hillsides of Northwest Arkansas. We do not just raise the dogs, but we actively hunt with them in field trials and for recreation.
I am also a Regional Director for the North American Gun Dog Association
(NAGDA), so you can see that we are very fond of what we do!
Here at J & J Kennel, we make sure that every litter has a fighting chance. All of our litters are born in the house and stay in the
house for six weeks. This way my wife and I, and the rest of the family, can take turns socializing with them and also watch out for any potential problems. Our
four year old daughter loves to play with all of the puppies! She wishes we could keep them all.(So do I! Don't tell my wife!)
We started out with Amy(Corleone). She comes out of CH. Elhew Strike, CH. Buckboard, CH. Guard Rail(to name a few)on her father's side. On
her mother's side, she comes out of CH. Miller's Chief, CH. Evolution, well, you get the point! We counted eleven that are in the Field Trial Hall of Fame!She is
White and Black with ticking.
She produces excellent puppies! They have the best personalities! Her son, Zeus, won second place in the puppy division at the National Finals last
spring! The amazing thing, is that he was in the lead for the first two days with a score of 230. He had never run a field trial before! I would just use him for cleaning
the fields after other field trial events! I just thought that I would enter him to see what he could do! WOW! He hasn't let me down since! Can't wait to see what he will
do this season!
