1. Brisbane Bears (2)
Am I the best team in UFFDA, probably not...do I have the best record, and best chance of a bye, sure I do. Julius Jones needs to return healthy, and Bulger needs to come back to throw to Holt, but for now #1 is mine.
2. Deerfield Dragons (5)
How quickly and 0-2 start becomes a 4-2 record, with a huge win over TT. DD is scary, and still should get top spot in the conferance. Willis is firing, but the loss of Bulger might hurt, unless Eli keeps it up.
3. Sydney Eels (3)
Go the Eels! They hang in at #3, but are probable the best team right now. They are powered by McNabb, SA and SMith, but Moss going off at WR as well. Eels could win it all this year....McNabb needs to stay in contention though, or he may be shut down.
4. South Dakota Rushmores (1)
I know, I know, SDR only lost 1 game, but to MPP of all team! This team will face 3 tough games after week 8 without its best player in Owens. Just how important is Owens, his bye was last week, SDRs first loss.
5. Tuscaloosa Tornadoes (4)
This team sends shivers down my spine, and I pray somehow SDR finds a way to win 4-5 more to keep this team out somehow. If both MM and SDR beat this team in the second half, or one does, and another upset occours, it might just happen.
6. Montreal Madness (6)
MM keeps chugging along, and is probably the best bet to fill in that #3 slot in Duff next to TT and DD, unless SDR kicks into another gear. Moss out could be a concern, and with only 2 WRs this week, faces a tough match up v BB.
7. Del Bend Destroyers (8)
DBD is odds on to fill in the #3 slot in Duff lite, simply based on the teams talent alone. However, DBD also loses Barber after week 8, and unless Henry comes back on a mission will need to find a RB2.
8. Boise Gladiators (9)
Boise is the suprise team this season. 2 off the wins have been over lesser teams, MPP and SS, but the other was a shock beating of PE. This team lacks talent, but makes up for it with depth, and will give DBD a run for thier money.
9. Bama Warriors (7)
Injuries and players under-performing have hurt this once proud franchise. BW loses Green in week 8, so at best they may get a shot at drafting him back...can't see them making the playoffs unless Horn and the other WRs click and Lewis/Green break out of thier collective funks.
10. Minnesota Purple Penguins (11)
MPP beat an Owens-less SDR last week, and may well prove to be a pain for many a team hoping to clinch a playoff spot. However, 2 quick losses to TT and DD over the coming 2 weeks might hurt this teams playoffs aspirations, but a draft pick looms. Barber and Cadillac might be playing together in Minny real soon.
11. Valhalla PDK (10)
VPDK spent a fortune to get Benson in the draft and dealt him away for a pair of WRs. Dillon is hurt and on a bye, so even SS might be to tough to handle this week. The loser of the match should get 1st pick in the draft, the winner might find themselves at 3-4!
12. Smashmouth Sausages (12)
This team has had zero luck this season, heck, they cant even whack McAllister on IR its that bad. Whichever team nabs #1 in the draft will either get RB or WR help...I see SS getting it and riding Owens for 2-3 victories in the seasons second half.
