My Favorite Class Of The Day
I think that the seniors of 2000 are very lucky to have this opportunity to explore bigger and better things, rather than doing the same ol thing every year,(writing in a notebook). I feel that this class has educated us not only about MEMIOR, but about the internet as a whole. Ms. Mayo has opened the door to a whole new world for many of us. She not only has a "cool" class, but she is very nice as a person. She is always willing to help
people, and has a generous heart.
Even with that whole drama with the senior gossip controversy, Ms. Mayo still was cool with everyone. She teaches us that anything is possible, as long as you have your heart in it. She has accomplished a lot as a teacher, and I feel very lucky that I have her this term.
MEMIOR really means "personal experiences", and in this class
we are learning about two author's personal expierences. The classic "Color Of Water", I would have to say is one of the best
memiors I have ever read. James Mcbride teaches all of us that
no matter what, we all can achieve success.
"When I Was Puerto Rican" is also a very good memior. It tells about a young womans jurny to America, her obstacles and how she had to deal with her life. When reading this book, I could also relate to all of her experiences. She has indead had a life you could write a book on.
This class is also good because you get a lot of experience
with computers. Before I had this class, I didn't know that much about computers. Now I know more than I did a couple of months ago. I'm just glad I circled Memior on the sheet we had when we had to decide what class we wanted to take in the Spring!
