From the March of Dimes:
When a baby dies, a bit of hope dies too, a bit of our dream breaks away, a bit of our future is erased before ever being written. Besides the physical loss, there in an emotional loss and a loss of all that a new life promises. This is true whether the baby died as a newborn or before birth due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or other reasons. Society has been slow to recognize that the impact on the parents can be the same, regardless of when teh loss occurred. Parents' grief over a miscarriage is as valid and real as their grief over the loss of a full-term baby.
The March of Dimes has a limited number of bereavement materials available at no charge for parents or other family members who have experienced the loss of a baby between conception and the first month of life. The website to request this free kit is:

One website I owe my sanity to is:

eLIMBO (electronic Loss in Multiple Birth Outreach):
This is a Yahoo group for parents who have lost at least one twin (triplet, or higher birth order). Just when I thought no one else in the world understood my pain, I found this group. The women here are so wonderful!

On Saturday, May 4, 2002, I had the pleasure of meeting Steph (on right) for the first time face to face; we met through eLIMBO. Steph lost her twin daughter Olivia last April, at 31 weeks due to cord compression. Olivia's surviving fraternal twin sister, Allora, will turn one in May. It was very nice to give Steph a REAL *hug* and share with her sans the computer.
