Somewhere I Belong Music Video Being Filmed
May 19, 2003
UTAH-
At the release of Linkin Park's new CD "Meteora" on March 25, JJ Corporation Co-Producers Jeff Shurtliff and Jake Jensen felt inspired to film a new music video: the hit new song from Linkin Park (who happens to be both Jeff and Jake's favorite band) "Somewhere I Belong".
In the beginning, they were considering doing the song "Faint", but then decided a turntable would be more exciting than a violin.
Today was finally the day to start filming, after the hard work at writing the script, which even included detailed footnotes for every second of film.
It took hours setting up the stage for the concert area (like on the "Crawling In The Dark" music video, how the band played as it kept cutting back to them.)
The set included the stage (of course), the amps, the turntable (consisting of an electronic keyboard and the records/scratch discs) on a large stand, and the drumset in the corner.
The Immitation Linkin Park band is as follows:
-Jake Jensen = Vocals
-Jeff Shurtliff = Emcee, Drums
-Stephanie Shurtliff = Guitar
-Easton Shurtliff = Records
After hours of filming, only the backup band concert playing was filmed, due to a power outage right when the camera began rolling.
This film will be edited for a long time, and will finally make its debut into mid-summer if all goes well.
     Of course, it
will be broadcasted on the website.  Tune in to find out dates to the website premiere, and you can enter the JJC Chat Room and speak with those who filmed.
