For Whom The Bell Tolls
Video Begun

UTAH-
With the purchase of a new Silvertone bass guitar by Jeff Shurtliff around Thanksgiving, 2004, and Jake Jensen's possession of an electric guitar with an 80W amp and foot petal, preparations were made to film a new music video.
Thanksgiving day, Jeff and Jake discussed which songs they should learn to be able to perform for the gathered family on Christmas day.  The song which they both learned the entire song to was Metallica's For Whom The Bell Tolls.
The performance went very well.  Jeff and Jake began playing their most practiced song, then played Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train and Hoobastank's The Reason.  Jeff then flew solo and played AC/DC's Back in Black and then finished with Millencolin's Man or Mouse.
A week later when Jake came down to Orem once again, they began filming for the video.  Filming in the garage, giving it the "garage-band" film, using a theatrical fog machine to fill it with a wafting haze.
Only the performance part of the video was filmed, as the story will come later when written.
This movie will write a new page in the JJ Corporation history book for two reasons:  The first reason is that this movie will be the first [finished] music video using real instruments.  These videos have evolved over time, starting with the
Crawling in the Dark video in which Steph, Hanna, and Easton used push-vacuums and tennis racquets as guitars and pillows and pens as drums and drumsticks.  Then, with the From The Inside video a real microphone was used for Jake and Jeff's vocal parts, and the guitarist (Luke Hollingsworth) used a toy electric guitar.  Not great, but a good replacement for the racquets and vacuums.
The second reason is that Jeff and Jake are actually playing the songs in the video, even though the camera audio track is removed.  Stay in touch for updates on this video.
