the representative of this organization spoke about it.

Elanor Roosevelt
is consider the mother of this organization.

Their motto is to
help young people to recognize the importance of the United Nations.

Made it clear to
everyone that the United Nations plans to get education throughout the world
-
One goal of the UN
is to use the UNA-USA to introduce the concept of a Global class room.

So far the
organization has signed up 100 high school onto their programs.

This organization
is very good for John Jays recruitment work because this group allows student
to network with colleges that are involved in the NMUN
-
One of their main
goals is to increase NYC public school participation in this program.
3:50 PM: Malisa – coordinator for UNA-USA
spoke about having

the conference in
the Jacob Javitz center where at least 85 students from all over our nation
come together to be delegates in this event and to represent countries of the
UN.

This event takes
place May 21-22nd most students are from the NYC area public school.

She also spoke
about adopt-a-minefield

Night of 1,000
dinners

She also told
members how to get their former high school involved in the event if they
aren’t already in it.
