Brainerd And Nisswa Minnesota, June 4th 2004
James and I went to Brainerd and Nisswa. This is to remember when James grew up when he was 4-7 years old. We went to some places that bring the memory back and he  most still remember the places and changes in there...Places we visit 1.James's old house at Nisswa. And now reside by a lady and 2 kids. The house remain the same except there is no deck in the front, the lady invited us to come but we just stayed outside and talking. 2. We met neighbor Clerence Turner that still own Turner Towing for so long  years. 3. Nisswa  elementary school at Nisswa. There is no high school there so people have to go to Brainerd for that 4.The place where he used to play  at Lake Hubert, Brainerd, 5.Curvy curvy road that James and sisters loved to have it  for it was so exciting, it was like hilly road. For Jenny it made sick..oh no we just got lunch and now we're in the curvy road, the food from the stomach right up to the head. But yes for kids it was fun. 6.Salty Dog Saloon, where James's parents went there and kids play pool. But it is closed and abandoned now. 7. Paul Bunyan Land/This Old Farm, this is amusement park where James and sisters and parents went here when they were kids and there was big statue of Paul Bunyan would greet them Hi Maria, Hi James, Hi Marcia, Hi Leslie...what the land now was not the same with the old land that young James go, it has been moved. The statue still exist and when the staff open the door then there was a greeting voice invite us to come inside..We didn't go in, to go in, we  needed  to pay  ticket each USD 9.95 So we just stand there and take some pictures.
We had lunch at Nisswa Grille (2 story restaurant) at downtown Nisswa. It was  a good food with a good price. Beef Burger with salad and fries for James, Cajun Chicken wrapped with salad and fries for Jenny  and both of us order hot tea. We just love to see old american interior there with soft lightning and soft music.

Brainerd is a resort area, I do think it is surrounding by lakes, and people love to go there for boating and fishing.
