~ Station-Locker Room ~

"Hey Jack"
"Yeah Jo?"
"I'm going to a Rave party tonight I was wondering if you wanted to come?"
"Well I'm not really into Rave parties Jo........"
"Come on Stretch I won't pester you again about coming to one"
"Well..."
"Please..." Jo begged
"Ok" Jack had given in.

~ Later that night at the pub~
"Hurry up Jack! We'll never get there at this rate," Jo yelled through 
Jack's door
"Yeah Yeah," Jack mumbled as he opened the door.
Jo stared, open mouthed at what stood infront of her
<Why does he have to look so damn sexy> she thought.
"So, shall we go," Jack asked extending his hand out to Jo. This brought Jo 
back down to earth.
"With pleasure."
The two left the pub and headed to the rave.

~ At the Rave ~

"Hey Jo this isn't bad after all"
"See what you have been missing out on Stretch"
"Yeah I have been missing out on this sort of thing haven't I"
" You wanna dance Jack?"
"Only if it is you that is asking"
"What do you mean by that?"
"Oh nothing" Jack dismissed the thought
<Like Jo is gonna go for a guy like me, I mean she is what? 3 years older 
than me...Yeah 3 years...She would never go for a guy like me>
"Earth to Jack....Earth to Jack"
"Huh what?"
"Where were you in dreamy land?"
"Nah just thinking"
"What about?"
"You" Jack said softly
"Pardon?"
"Nothing Jo I was just thinking"
"Hey Stretch you can tell me"
"No, I can't because it is about of you"
"What do ya mean?" Jo wondered
<What the heck has he lost it?> Jo thought
"Can we go Jo I don't feel too good"
"Yeah sure"

Jack and Jo were in the car on the way back from the Rave.

"Jack?" Jo asked quietly
"Mmmmmm"
"What were you thinking about at the Rave?"
Jacks head snapped up. <Why does she have to ask me? I'm not going to tell 
her the truth. She'll laugh at me, or will she?. We are all ways told to all 
ways tell the truth but is this an exception? No. I'm going to tell her.>
"You Jo," Jack replied timidly
"Me?"
"Yeah. You are the most beautiful, kind, caring, sexy woman I have ever 
met."
<There I've said it. Can't take it back now.> Jack thought.
Jo smiled and pulled into the car park of the pub.
Jack just sat in the car waiting for Jo's reply
<What should I say to him, He is such a babe, but we also have to work 
together. PARISH quit trying to be a goodie goodie all the time. It is about 
time you actually told someone how you felt about them.>

Jo opened the door and hopped out hoping Jack would do the same. He did.
Jack walked around to where Jo was standing. She turned to face him. Their 
heads were only inches away.
"Jack" Jo whispered so only Jack could hear her.
"Yes?" He replied quietly
"I feel the same way about you too. I have ever since I met you. But I was 
scared of well facing up to my true feelings and I guess I was just scared. 
But now that you have told me how you feel I can tell you how I feel. To me 
you are the hottest guy I have ever seen, you are caring, sexy, gorgeous and 
overall a very sweet guy."

Jack and Jo slowly lent in and gently kissed each other.
When they pulled apart Jo grabbed Jacks hand and pulled him into the pub 
avoiding the watchful eye of Chris and ran up the stairs with Jack just 
centimetres behind. Jo dragged Jack to the door of her room.

"Jo" Jack was silenced by her kiss.
"Just shut up and kiss me," Jo said leaning in and kissing him once more. 
When they pulled apart Jo reached into her pocket and pulled out her key and 
let them in. Pulling Jack in after her Jo looked up and saw the feelings in 
Jacks eyes. She could see the love, temptation and all sorts of other 
emotions in his eyes.
Jack looked into Jo's eyes, he saw the love in them, but her also saw 
something else, hunger.
Jo sat on her bed daring Jack to join her knowing the full extent of what 
was about to happen. Jack obliged, walking slowly over to the bed. He lent 
in and kissed her so passionately that it took her breath away. They both 
knew what was going to happen and neither one of them did anything to stop 
it.
The *couple* made love through out the night. This was the best relationship 
either had had in years.

~ The Next morning in Jo's room ~
* KNOCK KNOCK *
"Jo."
"Tell them to go away" Jack whispered into Jo's ear.
"Jo it's Chris, Are you awake?"
Jo opened her eyes and looked at Jack who still had his eyes shut
Jo called out to Chris
"Yeah I've just woken up. What can I do for you?"
"Ahh Jo have you seen Jack?"
Jo turned to Jack
"Tell her I probably went for an early ride on Matilda" Jack whispered
"No I haven't as I just woke up....He probably went for an early ride on 
Matilda.Why?"
"Tom just rang he said that you and Jack have been changed to the night 
shift because of certain circumstances and wants you to ring him back to 
make sure that both you and Jack are happy with that"
"Yeah ok I'll tell Jack when he gets back and then we'll ring the Boss"
"Ok go back to sleep"
"Yeah bye"

Jo turned to Jack who was now awake
"Well looks like we have the day to ourselves"
"Mmmmmm and I have a few ideas ",Jack replied with a evil grin on his face" 
And it doesn't require leaving this room , infact it doesn't require leaving 
this bed"
"Ooooo Jack..... you surprise me at times!"
"Why is that?"
"Don't worry" Jo replied and snuggled back into Jacks warm and inviting 
arms.
<Gee I can't believe Jack he went all night long last night and now he wants 
more. He is so gorgeous>
<How am I so lucky? I am laying next to the most beautiful woman in the 
world. I must be the luckiest>
"Jack"
"Yes gorgeous?"
"Is that offer still open?"
"What offer?"
"The offer that is going to fill our day"
"If you want it to"
"Mmmmm i do" Jo answered starting to stroke Jacks back.
"Well do you think you will be able to handle it twice in 24 hours?"
"Easy"
"Are you sure?"
"Jack don't be so concerned. I am a big strong girl"
<You can say that again. Strong is one thing but having the best body on 
earth is another> Jack thought
"Ok" Jack replied

Jo leaned in and kissed Jack softly but ended up being pulled into a 
passionate kiss.
Jo woke to find Jack curled up beside her. She smiled as she remembered the 
events of the last 24 hours but also remembered that the Boss had asked them 
to call him. Jo rolled over and softly kissed Jack on the head before 
getting out of bed and grabbed her mobile and dialed the number of the 
station.

Mt Thomas Police station

" Mt Thomas Police station, Senior Constable Stewart speaking. How can I 
help you?"
"Hey Ben it's Jo. Can I talk to the Boss please?"
"Sure thing Jo. I'll just get him."
"Hello Jo," the Boss's voice came over the phone.
"Hi Boss. Chris said you wanted us to call you to tell you we were happy to 
do the night shift," Jo said calmly into her phone and a pair of strong arms 
wrapped around her waist and pulled her back into bed.
<What's going on here. No one is EVER happy to do night shift...... except 
when Maggie and PJ got together they were....... Oh NO!!!! Not another 
office romance!> Tom thought.
"OK Jo. I'll see you tonight."
"Ok Boss. We'll see you then."
Jo hung up and relaxed into the arms of her lovers arms.

Tom hung up and put his head in his hands. What would he do if he ended up 
with two constable Lawson's, that was if his suspicions were right, which he 
hoped to God they weren't

~ Jo's Room ~
"Jack"
"What did I do wrong?"
"You are tickling me!"
"Yeah so?"
"It tickles" Jo couldn't stop laughing.
"You realize that I'm enjoying myself!"
"And you think I am?" Jo laughed
Jack finally stopped tickling Jo and turned her around to face him.
"Do you know how gorgeous you look when you have no clothes on" Jack said 
smiling
"Is this coming from up here?' Jo said pointing to Jacks head, "or from down 
below the belt?"
"You will have to find out!"
"Jack we are due at work in 2 hours not now, how about later"
"But Jo...."
"Don't whine, you can come and have a shower with me if you really want, but 
I doubt you really want to"
"I'll do anything as long as you are with me Jo"

Jack followed Jo into the bathroom
<Lucky we have an ensuite to share> Jack thought, <otherwise this wouldn't 
be possible>
<I am so happy that I told Jack how I felt, I must be the happiest woman 
around>


Mt Thomas Police Station

Jack and Jo walked in laughing and talking.
"Come on Jo you can't seriously expect me to believe that!" Jack said as 
they walked through the front door.
"Fine then. Don't believe me," Jo pouted before saying hello to everyone and 
walking into the locker room to put her stuff away.

A little while later Ben, Tess and PJ announced they were leaving and said 
their good byes shortly followed by the Boss. Unlike the others he wasn't 
headed for the pub. he was going to wait out the front for a while and see 
what was really going on between his 2 most junior officers.

"Hey Stretch?" Jo asked Jack sitting on his lap.
"Yeah?" he replied
"What are we going to do? You know how the Boss feels about inter-office 
relationships and how he threatens to transfer those who disagree with him," 
Jo was close to tears
"Jo, he is just a puppy dog. You weren't here to see what he did to Maggie 
and PJ but he basically did nothing. If we told him he would probably give 
us the lecture about keeping work and private lives separate then give us 
his blessing."
"Are you sure," Jo asked, with tears in her eyes.
"Yes," Jack whispered.
"I love you Jack," Jo said.
"I love you too, now why don't you go over to your desk and finish up some 
of that paper work so we can get out of here extra early tomorrow morning. 
Hey?"
Jo smiled and walked over to her desk.

Night shift went quickly and there were no call outs. Just as they were 
about to leave the next morning the Boss called them into his office.
"Boss you wanted to see us"
"Yes I was just wondering how the shift went?"
"It went well. No call outs, all the paperwork done and overall a good night 
shift"
"That's good. You don't have to come in till tomorrow morning now so you can 
go home and have some sleep."
"Thanks Boss. See you tomorrow"
"Yes see you."

~ In the car ~
"I though the Boss was going to ask us if we were involved Jack, but he 
didn't"
"No he didn't. Hey Jo I was wondering, did you want to come out for a ride 
with me later?"
"Yeah I'd love to come. That's be great"
"Well we will have some Breakfast and get changed then head out there ok?"
"Yep"

~ Imperial ~
Jack and Jo walked straight in and went upstairs to get changed for their 
ride. Jack asked Jo to come into his room while he got changed. Jo walked in 
and sat on his bed, while also breathing in the smell of masculinity. You 
could tell that the room belonged to a male.
"Jo"
"Mmmmmm"
"Could you help me please"
Jo was so busy thinking about Jacks room that she hadn't seen him get 
tangled up in his shirt.
"Sure thing"
Jo walked over to where Jack was standing and started to undo the buttons on 
his Police shirt, revealing his muscular body.
<What a body, No wonder he is so strong. He is so yummy>
"Jo....Earth to Jo"
"What?"
"You were staring at me"
"I know, what did u want?"
"You can go and sit down now, I'm ok."
"Ok."
Jo walked back over to the bed. She was feeling a bit tired so she laid down 
on the bed just to rest. Meanwhile Jack has gotten his T-shirt on and is 
having trouble doing up his jeans. It just wasn't his day.
"Jo"
"Yeah?" she replied quietly
"Can you help me again"
"What did you do now?"
"I think my zipper on my jeans is stuck"
"Oooooo be careful Stretch, you don't want to go and hurt the boy down 
there. You do want to have kids don't you!"
"Ahh yeah I do that's why I want your help"
Jo slowly got up off the bed and walked over to where Jack was standing.
"Jack I think I have found your problem" Jo said only having to look at his 
jeans
"What is it?"
"This" Jo said grabbing his boy.
"Jo, be careful that is precious property"
"I know that. Now, Just hold still for a second while I do up your zipper"
"Ok"
"There that wasn't hard was it?"
"It was for me"
"Why Stretch?"
"When the woman of my dreams is standing infront of me holding onto 
something that is very touchy it is hard not to well ahhh you know...."
"Ahhhhhh....I understand" Jo said reaching up and kissing Jack on the lips.
"Come on, I have to get changed too!"
<Oh no>Jack thought<How am I going to control myself now. Calm down Lawson, 
it'll be ok>
Jack walked towards the door not forgetting his Jacket and his Akubra. He 
locked the door and walked into Jo's room but was pleasantly surprised when 
she was half undressed.
"Sorry Jo"
"It's ok Stretch it's nothing you haven't already seen anyway"
With saying that Jo made Jack embarrassed
"What's the blushing for Stretch?"
"Nothing"
Jo finished getting changed and her and Jack went down stairs for Breakfast.
"G'Day guys didn't think I'd see you for awhile yet" Chris said
"Well Jack is taking me out riding, and we had enough sleep yesterday to 
last us today do yeah"
"I guess you two want some breakfast"
"Yes please toast will do"

After breakfast Jack grabbed a few carrots off of Chris for Matilda and He 
and Jo drove out to the stables.
When Jack and Jo arrived at the stables Jack decided to let Jo ride Matilda 
as she was that experienced and he'd ask one of the stable hands if he can 
borrow a horse.

2 hours later
"Well Jo how are you feeling after that big ride?" Jack asked.
"I'm not feeling too good at all Jack I feel a bit sick" Jo replied
"Ok well lets get you home and get you to bed maybe you've got the flu"
Jack drove back to the Imperial and took Jo upstairs
When she was settled into bed and Jack was just about to relax Jo jumped out 
of bed and ran to the toilet.
"Jo are you ok?"
"I don't know Jack I was feeling fine this morning and now I'm chucking up 
everything"
"Look lets get Dr. Carter to check you out then we'll know what's going on 
ok"
"Yeah"

At the Hospital

"Jo after all those test we ran I have found out why you aren't feeling too 
well"
"Is it good news?"
"Well lets just say that soon there will be a baby around"
"Do you mean I'm ....pregnant"
"Yes, Do you know who the father is?"
"Yes.....When did this happen?"
"Well Jo we worked it out that it must have happened about the night before 
last as the egg was only just fertilized"
"Really?. Thanks Doc."
"No problem and Congratulations, You'll have to introduce me to the father 
next time"
"Yep And Doc."
"Yes?"
"Can you not tell anyone"
"No problem at all"
Jo walked into the waiting room where Jack was waiting for her
"Well ? How did it go Jo?"
"Jack we are going to be parents"
"Already?"
"Yes. Isn't that fantastic"
"It sure is. What are we going to tell the Boss?"
"Jack you told me not to worry about it so I'm not. Don't worry we will deal 
with that when it comes around"
"Ok gorgeous"
"Now I really have to look after you! Gee that proves something"
"What's that babe?" Jo asked curiously
"That my men are good swimmers"
"It sure does"


~Imperial~

Jack and Jo are in Jo's room lying on her bed just holding each other.
"Jack?" Jo asked
"Yeah?"
"Are you happy about the latest developments in our relationship?"
"Of cause I am. I not about to run off and leave you to look after OUR baby 
all by yourself. You know I'll do anything for you. You should know that," 
Jack said honestly.
"I know. Thank you." With that Jo lent up and kissed Jack soundly on the 
lips.

Later that day Jo was lying in Jacks arms. He was still asleep. Jo couldn't 
believe how well things had turned out but it had all happened so quickly. 
Snuggling closer into her boyfriend Jo decided that they would tell the 
others about them when they came in for their after work drinks. Looking at 
the clock beside her bed Jo suddenly realised how late it actually was; 
5:30. If they didn't get up soon them they would never make it down in time 
to meet the others. She gently shook Jack.
"Jack? We have to get up if we are going to meet the others," she said 
softly.
Jack groaned and woke up and looked straight at Jo.
"You're thinking about something. I can tell these thing so what's up?" Jack 
asked
"Can we tell everyone tonight? I know it is soon but everything has happened 
so quickly," Jo rambled
"Jo, be quiet. Yes we can. You're not complaining are you, about everything 
happening quickly?"
"No. I love you and in that sense it hasn't it hasn't happened quickly at 
all! Now get up!" Jo started tickling him until he got up.
It took them a full half an hour to get ready but they walked down hand in 
hand as the others arrived.
"Hello you two," Ben said too happily but neither Jack nor Jo noticed.
"Hi!" Jack and Jo replied in unison.
When they got to their table Jack and Jo sat next to each other. Tom was 
still to arrive and they had decided not to say anything until everyone was 
there.
"I think its Jack's shout!" Tess called out
"Yeah Ok, Usuals?" Jack asked
"Yep" Came the reply
"What bout you Jo? What do you want?" Jack asked softly.
<God. All I want is him. Please let me last the whole night sitting next to 
him and not touch that gorgeous body of his> Jo thought
"Umm I'll have an OJ please Jack," Jo replied politely
"Not drinking Jo? Why not and how did Jack know you wouldn't be having the 
same as you usually do?" Ben grilled with Tess smiling at his persistence.
"Yeah Jo. How did Jack know that you wouldn't be drinking?" Tess asked
"I told him on the way downstairs that I wasn't feeling too well so probably 
wouldn't drink too much," Jo said quickly thinking of an excuse.
"Oh" That spoilt their fun.
Jo noticed the Boss walk in.
"I think I'll go help Jack with the drinks. Hi Boss. The usual?" Jo said
"Thank you Parish," Tom replied
Jo walked over to Jack
"The Boss is here and wants his drink," Jo whispered
"I noticed him arrive. You sure about this?" He asked
"As sure as I'll ever be," Jo said as Jack grabbed her hand and squeezed in 
gently.
Jack and Jo returned to the table with the drinks.
"There you are, Tess. Now Jo and I have something to tell you all," Jack 
said has he handed out the last of the drinks.
"Ohhhh juicy gossip. Too bad neither Dash or Nick are here!" Ben said, 
laughing
"Shut up Ben!" Jo said, upset by his out burst.
"As I was about to say Jo and I are together and Jo found out this morning 
that she is pregnant," Jack said, looking at the stunned faces around the 
table.
"What did I miss?" Chris asked coming over to a silent table with all eyes 
on Jack and Jo
"Jo and I are together and Jo found out this morning that she is pregnant," 
Jack said.
"I knew it!" Chris cried, before walking back over to the bar.
Congratulations was passed all around to Jack and Jo. When Jo was approached 
by the Boss he had a stern look on his face that turned into a huge grin.
"I'm happy for you Parish and you too Lawson"
"Thanks Boss" Jo and Jack replied.
"Drinks all round" Tom yelled.

Everyone partied and celebrated all night.

Rave(II)


9 months later
5am
"Jack can you go this time, I'm so tired"
"Ok babe. Anything for you"
Since Sarah Joanna Lawson & Nathan Jack Lawson were born there had been
endless sleepless nights between both Jack and Jo.
The pair were too tired to do anything but sleep.
Although having their own bundles of joy was priceless.
Jack finally got up the energy to get out of bed and tend to one of the
twins. Slowly Jack walked over to their cots to see that Sarah was screaming
her lungs out.
Jack reached the cot only to find that Sarah's screaming had woken Nathan
too. Jack gently picked them both up and carried them back to Jo and his
bed.
"This little rascal woke brother. Didn't you Sarah?" Jack said tickling
Sarah after handing Nathan to Jo.
Sarah giggled loudly at her father before Jack put her down and she lay on
her back on the bed.
"They grow up fast don't they?" Jo said watching Sarah reach up to her and
Nathan. Jo put Nathan on the bed next to Sarah and reached her arm around to
Jack. "I love you Jack and I love the little rascals we have managed to
make, they obviously take after their father, but I don't love the sleepless
nights," Jo said sleepily.
Jack took a swipe at her head but Jo ducked out of it.
"I know what you mean," Jack said. "Look, they've fallen asleep."
Jack and Jo each picked up one of the twins and carried them back to their
cot and put them down. They stood arms around each other watching their
'angels' sleep. They walked slowly back to bed and fell asleep.
The next morning the sleepy couple wake to a beautiful Spring day in Mt
Thomas and decide to take the twins out to the park for a walk and to get
out of the house. They had eaten breakfast and fed the twins and were
getting ready to go.
"Do you want to get Nathan ready and I'll get Sarah," Jo said
"OK."
Once the twins were dressed and in their prams the 'family' were ready to
go.
"I've got an idea. Why don't we go down to the lake in the park," Jack
suggested
"Good idea we'd better get going then." They walked slowly down to the lake.
Once they reached the lake they let the twins lay on the picnic rug while
they sat and talked
"Jo? Have you ever thought of getting married?" Jack asked
Jo's head snapped up then relaxed.
"Jack there is only one person I've thought about in that way and it's you,"
Jo said smiling and kissed Jack to make her point.
Later that day Jack and Jo walked hand in hand while pushing the prams back
to their house. By the time they arrived home the children were asleep and
it was time to go to the pub. Jo left the twins in the pram and went and got
changed into some other clothes while Jack refilled the baby bag with the
essentials.
-Imperial-
"Here come the happy family" PJ announced
"Gee you're a bit late aren't you?" Tess questioned.
"It is what you call feeding time. And when feeding time is around it's a
worry and painful" Jo answered
"Don't worry its worse when they start teething" Jack said.
"Ok who wants a drink?" Asked Ben
"The usuals thanks Chris" Ben said as he walked to the bar.
A couple of hours later after many glasses of beer and o/j Jack and Jo
decieded it was time to go home.
"See you all tomorrow" Jack announced. "We have to put the twins to bed"


Jack and Jo arrived home with two sleeping children in their prams.
"We better get these two to bed," Jo said quietly
"MMMMM," Jack replied.
Once the twins were asleep Jack and Jo sat down in front of the TV each with
a cup of coffee in their hands.
"Jo?" Jack asked cautiously
"Yeah?"
"You never *really* gave me an answer this morning," Jack looked Jo straight
in the eye.
"Do you really need one?" Jo asked before leaning in and kissing him softly.
"Not if that's a yes," Jack said slyly
"You have a one track mind Stretch! And yes," Jo said.
Jack picked her up and spun her around and around taking joy in her screams
for him to put her down. When Jack finally put her down both were
breathless.
"Shhhhhhhhh! You'll wake the twins," Jack panted quietly.
Neither could catch their breath for some reason.
"Kiss me," Jo said seductively.
Jack gently took her hands in his and kissed her gently on the forehead
teasing her. He pulled away before turning and walking away from her. Jo
caught up to him.
"Where do you think you're going?" Jo asked.
"Guess.' He kept walking by now Jo had worked out where he was headed. She
ran to the doorway of their bedroom ad stood in the door knowing full well
it wouldn't take long for Jack to move her. Blocking the doorway with her
body Jo looked up to her boyfriend towering above her and bit her lip. Jack
lent down and picked her up and carried her into their bedroom and laying
her down on the bed.
"I love you Jo," Jack whispered
"Love you back. Now kiss me!" Jo said, a gentle, loving smile playing her
face.
<God she looks so beautiful> Jack thought before kissing her through the
night.

When the sleepy couple woke the next morning to a sunny Mt. Thomas day they
knew what they were going to do. Go shopping for an engagement ring for Jo.

Saint David's shopping centre

"Oh Jack it's gorgeous! I don't know how you could afford it!" Jo exclaimed
looking at her hand as they left the jewelry shop.
"You're gorgeous. No comparison," Jack said softly
"Thanks," Jo said and kissed him gently. "Can we go to the station and tell
the others?"
"Sure thing."
With that the family walked off to the car, heading to the station.

At the station
Jo and Jack walked in hand in and while carrying the twins.
"Guess what everybody" Jack said
"Oh you didn't" Tess glanced at Jo's smile and the ring on her finger
"Yep we did. Jack proposed to me" Jo said with the largest smile on her
face.
"Congratulations Jacko" Ben said while patting Jack on the back
"Thanks mate" Jack said back
"So when's the big day?"
"Boss...We were coming into tell you but..."
"But what Parrish.......Congratulations you two. You finally got together"
"Thanks Boss" Jack said and slowly kissed Jo infront of everybody.
"Jack" Jo whispered "Not here"
"Yes Lawson not here"
"Oh come on Boss we were getting some entertainment" Ben whined.
"Well we better get going. We'll see you later" Jo said and walked out with
Jack and the twins.
5 months later

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride" the preist
announced

Jack and Jo had made it to the alter and had finally gotten married
