Hey ppls this is our Heelers Chrissy fic, Millenium Christmas PART 1/? By Dani & Erin *STATION* "So Stretch, Are you coming to the Imperial for Chrissy drinks or not?" "Of course Jo what do you think I am. A copper without a social life?" "Ok funny Stretch. It's knockoff time. You coming?" "Yeah. Keep your pants on" "I will Stretch don't you worry" "Ok then everyone"Jo said to PJ, Tess, Ben and Tom, who still had about an hour or so left for there shifts "We're off, see at the pub" "We're off see you at the pub" *Imperial* Jack and Jo, were having a quite drink before the others arrived "So Jo what do you wish for this Christmas?" Jack queried "Umm I don't know, perhaps a handsome young man to sweep me off my feet!" Jo answered "So Stretch what do you wish for?" Jo queried "Well I don't really wish for anything just thank God that have come out of my operation ok " Jack answered "That's good Jack" "Yeah. So what are you doing for Christmas Jo?" "Well I haven't heard from my family so I guess I'm just staying around here. What about you?" "Well I'm supposed to be going up home to see mum and dad and the rest of the family, but I don't want you to be on your own for Christmas" "I'll be ok Jack. Don't worry about me" "Just wait here for a minute ok Jo" "Yeah ok Jack. It's not like I'm leaving or anything" Jack walked out of the pub and into the Parlor. He picked up the phone and dialed his parents phone number. "Hi mum it's Jack here" "Hello my boy. Nice to hear from you. What do I owe the pleasure of hearing from my son?" "Well Mum I was actually wondering if on Christmas day I could bring a friend up with me?" "That would be fine Jack. What's his name?" "Mum it isn't a guy. It's my colleague Jo Parrish. She isn't spending Christmas with anyone. Her family aren't really worried about her I don't think so....." "That's fine Jack. Bring her up with you. I can't wait to meet her." "Thanks heaps Mum. I better go." "Yes Jack. See you on Christmas Eve." "I love you mum" "I love you too son. Bye" "Bye mum" Jack hung up the phone and walked back into the pub. "What took you so long Jack?" "I went to call Mum" "How come?" "To see if she minded that you came up to Swiss Creek with me for Christmas" "Jack, I couldn't do that. Go and ring your mum back and tell her I'm not coming" "Well Jo I'm not ringing her back and you are coming with me. and that's final" "Ok but I don't expect a Present." Jack smiled and remembered what Jo wanted as her Christmas wish. Maybe he could just make that wish come true. Jo was pretty happy with Jack offer, at least she didn't have to worry about spending Christmas by herself In fact she was kind of hoping that he might mention it The others arrived now disturbing their thoughts "So what is everyone doing on Christmas day " Tess asked "Well Tess, I'm taking Jo home with me, for Christmas," "And I'm having my kids up from Mellbourne" Ben said "What about you PJ?" Ben asked "I'm spending Christmas with mum. This is my first Christmas with out Mags so Mum wanted me down to Melbourne with her." "So Tess what are you doing?" Ben queried "Well.....Nothing actually. Mum and Dad aren't alive anymore and well my brothers and sisters live Interstate and I haven't been in contact with them for ages. So it will be a quiet Christmas for me." * 2 Hours later * "Well I'm off everyone. See you all tomorrow." Tess said. "I'm going too." Ben said. " I'll walk you home Tess." "Thanks Ben" Tess and Ben walked out and left Jack, Jo and PJ talking. "Well I'll leave you two alone now. I'm pretty tired so I'm going to go." "Ok then PJ we'll see ya tomorrow" Jack said. "Yeah see ya PJ" Jo said. "Bye guys." PJ walked out of the Imperial and started walking home. "So Jack....When are we going up to your parents?" "Well I was going to ask you if you wanted to leave tomorrow after our shift instead of travelling on Christmas Eve. But if you don't want to leave after work tomorrow we can go later." "That sounds good to me Jack....But whose car are we talking?" "We can take the ute...." "We can take my car Jack...." "Well it is a 18 hour drive home you know" "Oh......." "Yeah I usually set up the swag on the back of the ute when I'm driving up." "Cool.....Remember you told me you were going to take me camping under the stars....Now you are." "Exactly. Well we should get some sleep I guess. Work tomorrow then a long drive ahead of us." "Yeah." "G'night Chris" Jo said walking up to the bar. "G'night Jo. G'night Jack." "Night Chris" Jack and Jo said in Unison. Jo walked to the stairs and looked behind to see if Jack was following her. He was. She walked up the stairs and unlocked her door and went in. Jack went to unlock his door but found someone had jammed a key into the lock and he couldn't get it out. He walked down stairs to see Chris but everything was turned off so he walked back upstairs and knocked on Jo's door. "What's up Stretch?" "Well someone has jammed a key into my lock and I can't get into my room. I went down to see Chris but she's gone to bed so I was wondering if I could bunk in your room for the night" "Yeah that'll be fine Stretch. Although I don't know where you are going to sleep as there isn't much room on my floor or anywhere. I guess you could sleep in my bed." "Are you sure? I don't want to invade your privacy. I can just sleep on the floor." "No, Jack you can sleep in my bed. That's final." Jo went and gathered all her things off the bed and pulled back the covers. She went and got changed and hopped into bed. Jack was still getting changed in the bathroom when Jo got back so she left the door open a little so he could get into the room. PART 2 Jack woke, with an empty bed beside him < Jo must have already go up he thought to him self as he got out of bed and got dressed. > "Morning Stretch" Jo said "Morning Jo. Why didn't you wake me Jo? "Oh you were sleeping too peacefully, I didn't want to" "Well, now I'm late" Jack said "Stop your complaining, we'd better get going" "Ok, bye Chris" * Station* "morning everyone" said Jack and Jo as they entered the station "Morning Jack, Jo" was everyone's reply "Any thing new Tess?" Jack questioned "No jack, not yet, but it's still early, get ready for read out" * 6 Hours later* "Well I'm glad today is over and now we can relax" Jo said flopping down onto the bed. "I hope Chris got the locksmith out....." KNOCK KNOCK "Jo it's me Chris" Jo went and opened the door to reveal Chris dangling a key. "Hey Chris" "I thought Jack might need this." "Thanks heaps Chris I'll give it to him." "Bye Jo." "Bye" Jo turned and closed the door. "Well here is your key. I have to get packed still so I'll see you in....." "Half an hour Jo. Otherwise it won't be worth leaving." "Yup. That's cool with me Stretch." Jack walked out of Jo's room and started to think of a way he was going to give Jo her Christmas wish. *Half and hour later* KNOCK KNOCK "Are you ready yet Jo?" "Yeah coming Jack, just let me get everything" Jo got all her bags and opened the door "Jo, were are only going for a few days, you look like you have packed for a few weeks!" "Well, Stretch I wanted to make sure i had everything, it's a long way to go, and have forgotten something" "Ok, come, I'll help you carry them out to car, then we had better get going" "Yeah thanks Jack, we'll say good bye to Chris on the way out" "Oh, Chris, Jack and I are off now, so have a good Christmas, and we'll see you in a few days" "Yeah, you have a good Christmas to, you two, and, drive safely, and don't do anything i won't do!" "Yeah Chris" Jack moaned " We'll be fine" "Bye" "Bye, Chris" they replied in unison" They got, in to the car, and headed out to highway, to Swiss Creek. Jo wanted to make a conversation but didn't know where to start. Jack felt the same so there was silence for the 2 hours that they were on the road for. Jack pulled over into a Truck/Car parking/Camping spot and hopped out. Jo just sat there and then slowly opened the door. "Jack" "Yeah?" "How many swags did you bring?" "Well I only have one so I only bought one. I thought we could share. It is quite big." "That's fine. It is getting pretty cold anyway." Jack pulled out the swag and set it up on the back of the ute. It was pretty cold, so they both decided to just sleep in their clothes. Again, both didn't really know what to stay, they both just drifted off to sleep *The next morning* Jack, woke, to find both is arms around Jo's waist, which he didn't mind, perhaps this would help make, Jo's Christmas wish come true. Jack, just lay there, he, knew that if he moved he'd wake, Jo, which he didn't really want to do. So he just lay there, with her, in his arms. Jo, soon, woke, to find, his arms around her. She didn't mind, either, she was kind of in hope that this trip, might be a way of getting to know Jack a little better, and perhaps hoping, that he would be the one to make her Christmas wish come true. "Jack" Jo whispered "Yeah ba....Jo?" "What time is it?" "It's nearly 6am. We'll get going in half an hour ok." "Yeah.....That's fine. I'm quite comfortable here anyway." "How did u sleep Jo?" "Like a baby. It was one of the best sleeps I've had since you were shot." "You really were that worried about me?" "Of course Stretch. Your more than a friend to me you're a......" Jack silenced Jo with a small kiss on the lips. "Now that is more like it." Jo said enthusiastically. "So you liked that did you?" Jack asked with the largest smirk on his face "Of course." Jo said with the largest smile on her face. "Come on, Jo, lets get going" "Yep hang on" Jo, replied, and then continued, with another kiss, but this time more passionante, than before "I like you making the first move Jo" "Oh do you now" Jo kissed him again "Yeah, but we really have to get going" "Alright then" Jo said sadly. Jo, followed Jack out of the swag. They got them selves tided up, and then jumped back in the car, and continued, on there way to Swiss Creek. Hey ppls feedback will be great
