(can't do any fencing, trenching, can still do milking unfortunately…) ******** ; ) ********* "Oh no, please tell me you're not an Arron Carter fan" Jo rolled her eyes in response, slapping her friend slightly on the arm "Of course not but at least I'm not addicted to 28days" "What's so bad about them?" Jack shot back, sipping at his beer as they both sat to the back of the Imperial "At least they're Australian". "Yeah great, good old land down under is being represented by guys who's best song titles are Sucker and Rip it up" Jo snapped back sarcastically, smiling at Jack who just shook his head in return. "Yeah well, I want candy" "Oh? Well lucky you met me" "No, it's a song… never mind and anyway you? Candy? I very much doubt it, you're more a chocolate kinda person" Jo cocked her head to the side, a small grin lining her mouth as she took a sip from her almost finished beer. She loved these Saturday nights with Jack. P.J was always on shift with Ben and mostly Tess while the Boss went over to St David's station to be updated on the district which left her and Jack without the normally ever present 'babysitters'. Although she appreciated the others watching over her and Jack it got tiring after a while. They watched over her because, well, they thought she might drag poor 'ol Jack into trouble while they watched Jack out of pure worry. Being young, reasonably new and recently out of his wheelchair they were always worried and it looked to annoy him to no end. But, if she really admitted to herself, she spent these Saturday nights wanting nothing more than to spend it in the company of the man beside her drinking beer and teasing each other. "Me chocolate? Okay then, you're….well, you're…." Jo frowned as she hunted her head for what Jack was, apart from handsome, young, gorgeous, a great constable and footy player and extremely cute she couldn't for the life of her think of something. Jack grinned at her triomphertly, leaning slightly more on the table as he drained the last of his fourth beer and pushed the glass away "Well well well, looks like little ol Joanne is stuck for what food I remind her of, poor Jo seems to be loosing her memory in her old age maybe-" Jack's teasing was put to a halt as Jo slid her chair around from her side of the table to his, smacking him on the leg to stop his teasing and then settling back, shoulder to shoulder. "I think maybe…yep, you're deferently a stick of strawberry liqorish, you know the sherbet filled kind" she watched as he laughed aloud and grinned at her, grabbing her hand in a friendly gesture. Even though Jo knew it was simply friendly gesture she still couldn't help the soft intake of breath as he took her hand and electricity ran up through her. Looking from her hand that was wrapped in his larger one she felt like her head was surrounded by the morning fog and she closed her eyes, focusing on the warmth of her hand and actually breathing. "Ja…jack" she managed to stuttered out, keeping her eyes closed as her heart beat hard in her chest and she tried her best not to pass out… To be continued…
