I'm not quite familiar with the Star Ocean games, I've never played any Star Ocean game before this one, but I do think it's pretty good.

It took about 35 hours for me to finish it, well it could be longer.

And I think that the game is much better in the beginning than in the end.

So you could get bored, but it's a great game to wait for Final Fantasy XII, and that's for sure that this game won't stand a chance against Final Fantasy XII.

This game is about a boy named Fayt, who enjoys his holidays in a nice hotel at Hyda IV, when suddenly they are being attacked by a mysterious alien force by name of Vendeeni.

Both Fayt's parents are being captured, also his friend Sophia had been captured, and he wants to save them from the Vendeeni.

He escapes in an escape pod, and find himself in the vast planet of Vanguard III, in waiting for the rescue, he explores the island, and rest of the story is up for you to discover yurself.

The dialogue is a very ugly thing in this game, the voices, is so ugly, you can't imagine how bad they really are, but the fights are good, so worth buyng it.
