| MEETINGS AND BADGEWORK | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| We will have no more "Formal" meeting for the year - but will continue to complete the assignments discussed previously at meetings. We do, however, have several items we need to make sure are completed by June 5th. The first assigment that must be completed - everyone who has not yet submitted their GOLD application - must do so before the END OF MAY!!!!! Please have your "STARS" Program Patch paperwork and scrapbook page completed and submitted to me by June 5th. The next time we meet formally will be July 20th, 2005 with Bianca, "Smarty", to discuss our Unit camp assignments. Please have these ready for that meeting. | FUNDRAISING | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| On May 21st - Saturday - we will be fundraising for our Hawaii trip at "Thorntonfest" We will need to set-up at 8am, and we will teardown at 5pm. This is an all day event - so plan accordingly! I have Brianna and Sarah scheduled to work the morning shift - from 8am - 12:30 pm. I show Analise and Elly will work the pm shift - with the help of Ily. This will be from 12:30 to 5pm. We will be in the Craft/Promo Tent. Please have your parent sign the permission slip here, or come to the tent and sign the perission slip at the event. I will also have the last pictures for your scrapbook page for our STARS Program patch available at the Thorntonfest. We will attempt to have a couple more fundraisers over the summer to pay for events in Hawaii - but each of you will need to take home about 15 cookbooks to sell over the summer months. |

| FUTURE EVENTS | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| Currently we have plans for June 5th - Sunday - to go to the Butterfly Pavilion. We will go from 10am - 1:30pm. We will do a self guided tour and have a picnic - where you will receive your annual service pin. Families can attend, but they will have to pay for themselves. This event is free for your QSP goal sales. Those who need a ride to the pavilion can meet at the leader's home at 9:30am and will be returned home by 2pm. Click here for a permission slip. All homework for the STARS Patch Program isdue that day!! I also will be paying for 4 scouts and 2 adults to go to Unit camp August 5, 6, and 7th. We will be working with other Cadettes and Seniors on the "Orienteering" Interest Project. Bianca will be leading the program for this badge, at Magic Sky Camp. Click here for a listing of the requirements for Unit Camp. Please have these ready for the July 20th meeting. More information regarding the July meeting and Unit camp - as well as our trip to Hawaii - will continue throughout the summer. I will e-mail you a message when the sight has updates or with other pertinent information!! We will be setting up the history of our troop display on Sunday late AM - July 17th, and removing it at 6pm Friday July 29th - at Mile Hi Council - so please mark these dates and times on your calendar!! Just concentrate on finishing your Junior year, and getting to the GOLD!! |
