The institute is managed and affiliated to the University of Calicut (estd.1968)  Founded in 2000, the CUIET is reckoned for its academic excellence in engineering sciences Within a very short span of 5 years the Institute excelled to grow to the status of a Three Star Institute Winners of College Arts Festival for consecutive two years. More than 200 students in four batches.
