14 NOVEMBER 2004 :  STRUT BAR, CUSCO SUSPENSION ARM TIE-BAR ALL INSTALLED!

Three-point power strut bar and a cusco aluminum tie-bar have been installed.   Light years  difference in handling.  Not bad for KYB gas shocks and stock springs and so far   just 14" Michelin tires!  More fun than I should have in a daily driven corolla!   Using   iridium plugs now.  Tried to put K & N's open-air filter.   Somehow, my old simota pulled better. hmmmm.... back to that old filter   now!

10   OCTOBER 2004 : INSTALLED FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS FROM JAPAN ONLY   COROLLA AE101 LEVINS!

Seats from Levin.  Better support and the black fabric is much more suited to this car.

24 JUNE 2004 : SPEED LIMITER AND ELECTRIC GROUND TROUBLE!

Ran into the speed limiter as I hit about 200km/h.  Well before redline though.   Anyone have a fix for this?  Please email me!! Also, ground keeps draining my battery.  The shop is hunting around for the trouble.   Hope its just a short.

10 JUNE 2004 : PUT THE BRAKES ON!

Found a set of Levin front and rear disc brakes for just $200!  Had them put on the car and it works like a dream. FInally, brakes that actually still work at 200 km/h with little drama!
21 MAY 2004: IT LIVES!

We have successfully put in the 3S-GE and it is running beautifully.  Had to build the mounts using the original Corolla, and an adapted front mount from a Corona (Carina in Europe).  Essentially a 3S-FE mount.
This is the first photo of the engine as a complete build-up.
This is the passenger-side engine mount.  It's really a beefed-up Corolla mount.
This is the front-mount.  Adapted from a Corona mount.  Had to fabricate a bit.
This is the engine as first mounted into the bay.
