I begin the process by  going over with the customer the type of wood they would like to have, the use of the chair, whether it would be for outside or inside, and selecting the wood for the chair. I then carefully match the grain for a pleasing effect, and hand sculpt the seat arms and rockers.

           I then hand laminate the back braces to conform to the person. This makes the chair not only unique, but very comfortable.

           I build the chair in basically three different sizes, small, medium and large. Most of the work is done by hand using a rasp.

           I then sand the chair to a very smooth finish, and apply a hand rubbed finish for the final touch.

As you can see, it is an excellent piece of craftsmanship. :)
