Welcome to my Web Page. My name is Jay Phin. I am a student at a South Florida High School. I am in English II (10th Grade) Gifted English. My teacher is Mrs. Garbis. We are studying symbols and archetypes as they appear in universal themes in world literature and in life. We have recently read Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, in which we learned about the shadow archetype and the duality of man's nature. Following our reading of the book, we learned about mandalas and created both our personal mandalas (depicting our sunny and shadowy sides) and mandala poems.
