Chapter 9 � Darkness
Laughly and Brian hide away in the empty office.
"Laugh? What happened to Mical?" whispers Brian softly.
"I don't know� I'm really worried about him if you want to know the truth�"
Brian looks at her. She's really looking worried.
"You really are good friends aren't you?"
Laughly smiles. "Yes� He's like a brother to me� he is my soul mate. He means the world to me� He's almost the only family I have left�"
Brian lays his arm around Laughly's shoulders. "You know what, Laugh? We are going to find him where ever he is, I promise that too you okay?"
Laughly looks at him. "You are a very sweet guy, Brian." She gives him a kiss on his cheek.
Brian starts to blush a little bit. Laughly giggles softly. "You are cute."
Then the atmosphere changes. The air is getting colder. The uncomfortable feeling Brian had before comes back to him.
"Eru's?"
Laughly nods scared. "We need to move, or else they will find us easily," she whispers.
Slowly they are crawling towards another office. Then Brian hears the scariest voice he had ever heard in his life.
"We've got the first one, but there must be two more� Not only that Laughly girl, but also a lakeman. I can smell their fear� They are still here!"
Brian and Laughly were looking scared at each other.
"We need to move," whispers Brian.
Laughly nods. Slowly they start to crawl forward again, carefully listening if they don't hear any sound from the Eru's. Suddenly they hear a voice speaking to them.
"Hey� you girlie� and you boy, come on. We will help you escape," the voice whispers.
Scared turn Laughly and Brian around. They see a young man standing in a door opening of a door they didn't notice before.
"Come on, you two need to hurry or else I can't help you anymore."
Brian and Laughly give each other a look. Even without words they understand each other: Can we trust the man or not? They both feel that the Eru's are getting closer and closer.
"What do we do? Trust him or not?" whispers Laughly so softly that only Brian can hear her.
"I don't know, but I guess he can't be worse then those Eru freaks."
Laughly looks at the man and then at the door opening in which they expect every second an Eru. "You're right, let's go."
Slowly she walks towards the man, who helps her courteous step inside the alley behind the secret door. Then Brian steps inside and the man closes the door behind them.
"We need to be very silent, so I can't explain everything to you right now. Just follow me and I will lead you out, but me silent," the man whispers.
Laughly and Brian followed the man. They alley was very small and dark and the only way to walk in it was after each other. They heard the Eru's scream something.
[I guess they found out that we are not there anymore] though Brian.
It seems that they had walked for hours and they didn't spoke a word with each other, but then finally Brian saw that it became lighter in the alley. When they finally were outside Brian was relieved.
His eyes had to get used to the light again, but he was happy that he was out the darkness. When his eyes were used again he began to look around. Behind him he saw the skyline of Dol Guldur. They were standing on an open spot in the forest.
"Wow, that was quiet a walk," he says.
"Indeed," says Laughly while she looks very good at the man that helped them. Brian had the feeling that she didn't really trust that man.
"Why did you helped us?" she asked.
"The man looks at them. "I've got so my reasons. I'm not like them inside those buildings, but he isn't also�" says the man while nodding in Brian's direction. "He's one of those lakepeople. On the change is that I'm looking for a lakeman. A lakeman called Brian."
While the man said those last words Brian and Laughly were surrounded by other man. They all had knives and spears in their hands. Three men grasped Laughly, who starts to struggle very hard. Brian tries to help her, but on that moment six men jump on him and he needs all his strength to fight them.
"Let us go!" he hears Laughly screams.
"Shut up, woman!" says another man and then he hears a scream of Laughly and nothing more. Still struggling with the six men, he tries to see what happened to Laughly, but when he softly goes into darkness he only sees her lifeless body lying on the ground�

In a hospital in our world is Brian still lying in a coma. Surrounded by his friends and family they notice that he softly starts to move on the same moment that the men attack Brian in Lythari.
"Brian?" says his mother hopefully.
Brian's body starts to struggle. His father presses a button and after a couple of seconds a nurse walks in. "What's going on with my son?" The other Backstreet Boys can only stair at the moving body of Brian.
The nurse walks over to Brian's body and feels his pulse. Then she turns to the family.
"Uhm� I'm sorry but he's not waking up. This sometimes happens to people in a coma, in a very deep coma� We don't know why that happens, but it sometimes does�. I'm sorry. The only thing we can do is wait until the 'attack' is over." At as if Brian had heard what the nurse said he stops moving and his just lifeless like he was before. His mother starts to cry softly in the arms of her husband.
Chapter 10 � Knight of the Dark
Brian couldn't believe what had happened to him. He was taken captive by a couple of men, but - for what he had seen from them - they weren't Eru's. They had taken him to a village in the middle of the woods what looked like a fairytale to him. It was a castle like you see in movies with King Arthur and Merlin. Brian wouldn't have been amazed when he had seen a dragon or something like that. They had taken him into the castle and had thrown him into a room. The room was simple designed with a large canopied bed and a plate of iron as a mirror. Then they had left and just ignored him. He had allready looked if he could escape, but the only window in the room was very high and even without his fear of heights it would have been impossible to escape from it. Brian was sitting on his bed.
<I can't believe this. Here I am in the middle of a freaking fairy tale. What happened with Laughly and Mical? Was Laughly still alive? I don't know why, but I know that she is. And what about Mical? Where they taken captive by the Eru's?>
Brian didn't knew how he knew it, but he knew for sure that IF the Eru's had taken Laughly and Mical they would have been taken to Nae�
<I need to escape. Before they gave me to those Eru's. And I need to find Laugh and Mical� I need to save them!>
On that moment heard Brian how somebody opened to door. A giant looking man entered his room. He fillt the room with anger and darkness. It was hard to see how the man looked, 'cause he was all black and his face was not noticeable. Behind him stood the man, that Brian recognised as the man who 'saved' them. He was almost the same age as Brian was and was looking at him with a very hateful look. He had black hair and he was wearing a long dark-green shirt with dark-brown trousers.
"Who� Who are you?" said Brian with a shaking voice.
"I am the Knight of the Dark," said the dark man with a cold voice, "and this is my son Gulyan. We are the Anslyn of Lythari and we need you lakeman."
<Anslyn? Who where that again?>
Then Brian remembered.
<Of course! Laughly had told me! They are that dangerous separated group of people!>
"We need to find the door to your world. You know where it is� Tell us!"
Brian looked up at the Knight of the Dark.
"I� I don't know� where that door is� I'm searching it myself too."
"LAIR!!!" The Knight slapped him hard in the face. "YOU know where it is! TELL ME!!!"
Brian's head was dizzying. "I tell you. Why should I search for something when I know where that damn door is!"
The Knight's hand came out of nothing and grasped Brian by his shoulder. It felt like a big claw and the Knight brought his face before Brian's. The only thing that Brian saw of his face where two dark eyes with an evil glitter in it. Pain filled his shoulder and Brian almost groaned.

In his own world, Brian was laying in a coma, surrounded by his parents, brother and four best friends. On the same moment that the Knight grasped Brian by his shoulder in Lythari, Brian's hart stopped in his world.
"O God, please No�" whispered his mother, while she looked afraid at the monitor, "don't let my baby die�."
The other Backstreet Boys simply looked in shock at the body of Brian, who was looking like he was just asleep. His brother and father tried to comfort his mother, while the room filled with doctors�

"Lakeman, I can make it VERY difficult for you. You can just help me and I let you live normal. When you don't�. I know some very painfull ways to make your life so painfull as possible."
Although it was a very evil thing that the Knight was saying, his voice sounded very tender. The Knight's other hand was stroking very carefull trough Brian's hair. Brian clenched his fists. He looked at Gunyan, the Knight's son. Gunyan looked jealous and full of hate at Brian.
<Poor boy� I guess his father is never did this nice to him.>
"Do you understand� lakeman?" whispered the Knight in Brian's ear.
"Yes, but I really don't know where that door is�."
The claw pinched even harder in Brian's shoulder. All the tenderness and warmth was gone. The Knight was just as scary as he was before. He released Brian from his grip and Brian sunk back on the bed.
"As you wish, lakeman," said the Knight and together with his son he left the room, closing the door behind him.

Brian's hart started to beat again. His mother felt crying in the arms of her husband. Nick walks over to Brian's bed, while the tears are sliding over his face, and grasped his hand in his own.
"Come on B-Rok. Don't leave us alone�"

Brian walked towards to door and tried to open it. It was locked, but it was worth a try. Behind the door he heard two men's voices.
<So on this moment I'm a REAL prisoner, including two watchmen for my door� I need to escape, before that Knight is getting real pissed. I don't like him dark, but I don't like him even more when he's doing so nice� that's a lot more scarier to me.>
Brian starts to wander in his room. He walks towards his only window. And starts to stair outside. He sees a little grass-field and after that a very big forest. It is a beautiful view, but not really something Brian cares about right now. Then he hears a familiar sound outside.
"Frot�.FrrrrMoy!"
