| Immortality Whispers invade my thoughts, what are you trying to tell me? You left the world early this morning, your voice silenced by the darkness of water. What was it that you were trying to say? Life to you was a game; so bitterly lost... It was such a tragic way to leave, and yet no one cries... ...unless you count the teary night sky, which weeps endlessly... having to bear witness to such a massacre; a waste of human life. Innocence is corrupted by injustice, blame and punishment, are forced upon my brothers. How can this be? God save me! For I am drowning with you, beneath this pool of misery and betrayal. Life is still a game... we are all pawns in life's game. The only immortality is death, a freedom from the groundation on Earth. Tell me no more of this misery, confide your secrets into a more stable form of life. For I cannot help but weep, when all of humanity is at stake. I cannot help but care, when another body turns to dust, and plague of murder overturns the Earth. Because I believe, that life is more then a mere game... ~Melissa Hawk~ ~August 16, 2001~ Dedicated to Scott Martin |
