Decided to recreate this. Because I liked it, and it's damn brilliant, and I'm telling you right now it's the wave of the future.

And this way, I'll be able to lay copyright on it before any other greedy bastard gets his sticky hands on it.

Recently, my mother complained to me that things keep falling out of her purse. Her purse is one of those things that's basically just a sort of cup-shaped affair. There's a flimsy flap of fabric that one can snap closed over the top. Perhaps the designers of this item did not realize it at the time, but this is a remarkably inefficient way to prevent leakage. So, yes, my mother has good reason to complain of her purse's poor content-retention rate.

But on to the point of this story.

As she complained on this occasion, and as I studied the poor construction of her purse, I experienced a flash of genius:

What her purse really needs is a nictating membrane.

Then, hard on the heels of this first realization, a second insight of equal brilliance came to me:

Crocodiles are naturally possessed of nictating membranes.

It would probably be a relatively simple matter of genetic engineering to induce crocodiles to grow tumors with nictating membranes. (We're good at making things grow tumors.) These tumors could then be harvested and made into genuine crocodile leather purses -
with nictating membrane!

Don't you see the beauty of this? Think of all the jobs it would provide! Thing of all the dreams it would fulfill! Everyone who has ever wanted to be Steve Irwin can finally have his chance! Think of the practical benefits! No more lost car keys! No more missing change!

Yes, my friends, this is the Wave Of The Future.

And I thought of it first.

You can thank me later.
No, I think I'll thank you now! This is sheer genius, and as soon as I have the technology, I plan to swipe that copyright out from under your very nose. In the meantime, though, I think I'll take a look-see at your other potentially lucrative ideas.
You're mad! I shall flee to the Main Page, lest I too become so afflicted.
