They had camped by a battlefield, where the ground was russet with oxidized weaponry, and dirty white flashes lurked in the grass. They had no choice � it would take another day's travel to skirt the encamped armies. Inuyasha watched the sea of soldiers, feeling vaguely queasy. He remembered battles from before his sealing as clashes of hundreds of men, not thousands. So much had changed. To his side, the wind blew Kagome's hair straight, momentarily ordering her bangs, her face unusually solemn. Inuyasha looked away. It was the things that hadn't that bothered him.
