Her Eyes
(Inspired by songs written by Billy Howerdel)

Her eyes look on me with an omniscient peace,
Knowing all my past, present, and future thoughts
She's strangely at one with who I am,
Why can't I say the same?

These emeralds laid on the face of an angel need only a glance to see my sorrow,
I seek solice in them every time, and I'm beginning to understand why

Troubles drove us close,
And longing might bring me back
This I fear could be the end of us,
If so, then we'll go on our own way

Every moment in your presence is as if nobody else matters,
The want to feel that is devouring me again

A kiss might help to edify,
Deliver me from this childish reflection within
thirdcircledescent

My sin, urging me on, feeding this to silence ambition
A good time, temporarily, until another Ciacco i've become
This taste, a hook, infernal to my spirit
Within the third circle, descending, my denoument is sealed by Cerberus
Defenseless against it, no guide, for i have no mud to sling
Awaiting penance, thoughts race, reflecting on the vice which delivered me
Mortality is through, just a whisper, damned for a weak will
Understanding

These fleeding dreams that make our lives important will never cease
Fashion existance from the images within your mind
Look back and realize the gravity of the mistakes you've made

Confront, but please do not conform
For this life hinges on understanding individualism

Every generation has it's own renaissance
Each weaker than the one before it
The Judas kiss grows on
Bleeding those who stand out from all the rest

Confront, but please do not conclude
For this life requires an understanding of opposition

The Tao of life is a durable but not unwavering thing
A true artist knows the balance that sustains this
Dogmatic ways only confuse and should be set aside

Confront, but please do not conduct
For this life needs an understanding of Tao
