This photo was taken June 14, 1970 at an event entitled the Cosmic Carnival at the old Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta.

The Allman Brothers were back stage waiting. Musicians do a lot of that- waiting I mean.

Duane was talking to some friends drinking the provided swill - in this case Busch beer.

I had cojoaled my way into being the "official photographer" for the show.
But when the show went bust so did the photographers.

Twiggs told me a bad muthafuzzaka  would be     playing Sunday in the park.
And sure 'nough there were the  Allman  B Brothers Band live and in  color. It was June of 1969 .

Dickie wasn't with the band- they were in the  studio with the first album.  I never did see  them play in Piedmont Park (Atlanta) but that   day in Central City Park in Macon was very  very special.
