| I�ve lived in a time of relative harmony and peace Never really understanding the gift they gave to me All the men and women who went before Gave their lives for me in the theater of war They gave me the choice to do almost anything I choose They gave me freedom; I pray this I never lose In this world of not so perfect harmony Evil once again, threatens my right to be free I�ve searched my soul, asking the question why How could these men and women give their lives and die? I see now they did it, not only for you and me But for the ideology, democracy and our right to be free The time seems coming around us once again We need to defend our freedom from the tyranny of men I freely choose to accept whatever fate will bring to me So that others living in my wake will always remain free If called upon I�ll go to war, to do the task I�m given To protect our freedom of choice, in this world we live in I will go and do that of me that�s asked Live or die I will defend freedom to the last ~Jim Ferrell |
