Wealth Creation

Order of wealth creation and retention index

The US, Australian New Zealand and Canada Japan, Europe, Israel and Singapore Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, most of South America, South Africa Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal Ivory Coast Tanzania, India, China The Arab world, Indonesia Philippines The rest of Africa

A Theory of Language

The connection between language groups and wealth creation and retention would seem to be tenous at best, and most likely non-existent. And yet, there is something to be said that languages, as both products of cultures, and fit representations of cultures, are directly related to how the people who use those languages think.

Here's mere supposition: but the more free the language, the more free the people, and the learning.

English seems to result in a better wealth creation and retention situation for that country. Learning English seems to bring a country more wealth and creativity.

The concept of cultural imperialism The rights of woman and children Of ethnic minorities

The basic foundation of a free people are :

Free press

Secure private property

Right to religion and language

Elections and limited government

The difference in American thought and world thought.

In America the Government exists because of the people, in the rest of the world the people are a product of the state, and the culture.

The tension within the United States of being engaged with the world, or ignoring the world.

The use of US military might has nearly always resulted in more democracy freedom, national cultural resurgence, -- no conquering and subjugation.

In the instances of propping up Kings and dictators it is because invariably the worse situation if they are removed precipitously

When there are no cultural underpinnings for freedom, then a benign controllable despot is better than a malignant uncontrolled one. That's why the Saudi King with identical powers and cultural underpins to Saddam Hussein is bettwer than Saddam himself

A despot who wants to protect his power is better than a despot who wants to project his power.

Europe and America are not the same culturally and the differences are subtle -- but legion

Genetics or personality disposition

All the loonies, troublemakers, questioners anti-authoritarians criminals, whore, debtors, risk takers, failures, second sons, that is anyone with the gumption to upset the status quo left Europe for America, loners, conmen -- dreamers and rapscallions.

Not just poor -- because most of the poor remained behind.

English common law -- and constitutional ideas were perfected in the USA -- by removing the privileges of birth and the idea of the kin as central to the state's existence.

Civil law, by being handed down from the top by 'enlightened folks' necessarily results in the state being the central power

Freedom is Forbearance. From preventing others form being free The more a culture recognizes the rights of one person, or small group, to lead and made decisions, for everyone else, the less free the people are

Conformity -- while all people conform to the society they reside in, American culture's idea of conformity is allowing others to do as they please, save harming others.

While other cultural ideas of conformity is a uniform belief in sameness, or religion, clothing, ownership of process and of land, of who gets to have power.

Land -- ownership of land form the middle of the earth to the top of sky is a necessary requirement for a free society. The cultures where land ownership is most thorough have the richest and freest cultures

The countries that want to have free rich societies must allow the ownership of land by individuals.

Anything owned for the good of the people never quite seem to be for the good of the people -- rather just the opposite.

The scary thought about freedom is that no one is in control, where authority is diffuse and weak and questionable, fightable.

No control total control
USA AS NZ ENG. WEST EUR. EAST EUR So. AM. ASIA ARABs AFRICA IRAQ, CUBA

Every country with totalitarian system is destitute, hungry, sullen nonproductive, aggressive, dangerous to those with and those without the country.

Zimbabwe, North Korea, Iraq and Iran, Cuba

People want to leave totalitarian places and go to the free places. There are cultural differences and they can be allotted for in a different way these countries are totalitarian

Progress for people comes through diversity Cultures that limit diversity are always poorer and less free

The more limits on diversity the worse off a country is In clothes, art, words, commerce, ideas and religions

Diversity is scary because it leads to contradictions and conundrums, and opposition and unpredictability. Which is only mitigated by freedom to do as one pleases free from harm and harming no one.

Aberrations with control and diversity but still rich as say Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Sheikdoms but still the UAE are free than SA because there is less conformity, and less control and more diversity

Yet there is no inherent reason that SA and UAE can't have American style wealth at the same level as we do. The people there are just as smart, they think basically the same as we do.

Because if they don't think the same as we do then the question becomes are they genetically different. Not in a big way, but like all the outgoing people left to already come to America, leaving behind the meek and controllable.

There is no intrinsic reason for Argentina's failures other than the cultural belief that the state owns the country and the government should control the people's access to the wealth.

In situations like Venezuela and Columbia and Argentina, not much different than royal regimes, where the entrepreneurial set got up and left. So they are still doing now.

The same with other countries, their immigrants plunge into hard work and business is the purest proof of their entrepreneurialism, in the US in Europe it is harder to be an entre. And thus it is harder for those Entrepreneurs to get going in life. What do we call the people who emigrate.

What do we call the people who remain Of whom a certain percentage can't get away.

Immigrants in Europe can't become part of mainstream in the respective countries because the culture of the countries refuses to admit outsiders

You are American, Canadian Australian by dint of personal determination You are French Argentinean etc.., by birth -- hence the same continuing ethnic heritage devotion -- in US Can and AS -- I'm Italian, I'm Greek, I'm Nigerian -- or the hyphenation of ethnicity.

You can have a German American -- but not a German-Frenchman. Or a Turkish American but not a Turkish Englishman

You can be hyphenated -- in EUR So.Amercia, Africa, such hyphenation is not allowed cultural, often not legally either, hence the constant rebellions based on religion, language, culture, ethnicity the whole issue of volatile minorities

Then they move to America and zap -- no problem the Jewish diamond dealer in NYC taking a cab driven by a Palestinian Arab, conversing in imperfect English at peace because they are Americans This is not normal or accepted in other parts of the world.

The US should move towards equal relations with all nations, based on their level of democracy, economic freedom and civil society

If we expect a terrorist attack from these core countries Iraq Iran, North Korean, Yemen then we should seek to change those regimes. Fro they are like spoiled kids ruining the picnic for everyone else.

Why should we Americans give up rights so as to preserve the privilege of foreigners coming here.

Why does a Saudi Have the right to come here if that means that American must put up with more surveillance and security checks and privacy invasions.?

Our relations with countries should include a proviso that education in these countries be Academic -- without the politics without the hate

An oil shock would be good for the world -- spurring non-oil energy technologies.

Increasing exploration and development in reasonable countries

Break the power of the Mideast to cause trouble

Possibly bring more freedom to the Arab world.

A consistent drum beat of bringing entrepreneurialism, pluralism, open markets, rule of law and property rights all based on the American constitution and Dec of Independence which are re timeless world wide document for the whole world.

Demilitarization -- staring with Central American and Mexico -- for what do they need Armies?

The USA isn't great because of our resources nor our protection, in the past from invasion. Mexico is in a similar position, yet hasn't achieved anything much -- instead it si a cultural thing

Even though the USA has problems with Race, etc.., we recognize it as a problem and are working towards solving it through inclusion and peaceful ways, not be exterminating the minorities

The goal for every country should be to be more like the USA in peace, wealth and reasonableness.

If countries are concerned about getting paid by IRAQ why couldn't the US and Europe say that A new freer government will have to pay those old debts?

How can we permit a country like Iraq to so badly treat it's own people? Don't these people have the same human rights as US?

Diplomatic speech should be blunter at the UN -against these Neanderthal regimes

By having freedom our sole foreign policy criteria we will disable all attempts to blame us fro propping up untenable regimes

Rank each country by a freedom index

Use our diplomatic corp and regular citizens, peace corp, etc. to give lesson in civil society

We can not both push for human rights and woman's rights and respect cultures that don't respect these very same rights because of their traditional values.

Positive cultural things like language -- holidays, food Religion can be maintained with out the negative cultural things.

With countries like Haiti we should simply adopt it -- move in with people to teach the basics of our institution help rewrite the law, provide the education

A cost benefit analysis:

Is it cheaper to build a country like that than to constantly deal with the disaster and the immigration and the wars and other problems?

If we spend 100 million year on Haiti, then lets not give it fish, let's teach it how to make a fishing pole and then how to fish.

At times it may seem to be better to physically separate some people such at the HUTU And the TUTSI

Muslim, Croats and Albanian,

It will only be for e a short time -- perhaps two or three decades

It's like separating kids on the playground over time as these society progress mature -- into commerce directed society they will necessarily start to trade with each other.

Oddly no human activity is as peaceful as making money legal. By creating merchants we create decent societies and people.

The creation of an education program about the separation of people is necessary to implement the program

The argument by some strong men that their society aren't ready for democracy and commerce is only true to the extent that even the strongman himself isn't mature enough

What do we do for countries like Libya, Sudan, Somalia and North Korea Basically an open embrace with free trade, that is no restriction on an American enterprise trading or opening offices in any country But also -- absolutely no tax payer financial help to those companies or countries.

No military support no US government bailouts -- total risk to the company Countries can trade with he US only when they can begin to satisfy the rules of commerce.

The need to vastly simplify our own tax codes to shut down the entire corporate shenanigans industry, no loopholes, no dodging, no odd circumstances.

And then promote this simple tax system for countries that want to trade Simple tax systems must necessarily be fairer, bring more compliance, hence, better stability for governments hence more peace

Easier exchange of trade and such

Less expense in doing taxes, thus more people doing more constructive stuff

Countries like Indonesia should all the interior segments to develop in their own way, with the national government providing international relations and a currency and adjudication process for the differences between the parts. Burma too

Autonomy within, one voice without.

That allows ethnic and religions and linguistic groups to mature separately while minting national coherency as a whole

Sort of grand unification theory of domestic and foreign politics -relating to security and freedom for the USA and for everyone else too

Craven hypocrisy in the pursuit of the immediate dollar even though big multinational corps are making some money in places like South America Asia and the Middle East they could make far more money if these places operate more like the USA

Thus it is in the long term interests of these companies to help foster American style commerce and civil society

Due to constant flux especially in tax law and added regulation, business developed a short term mentality

Due to the complexity everyone has developed a search for shenanigans with taxes. Simplify taxes increase profits and add back long term thinking.

To a star trek future - total tech, total privacy and respect. The problems in the world seem intractable but in fact a fixed time can be applied to efforts to lift every country out of poverty

All the energy put into taxes here can now be applied overseas in straightening out the rest of the world.

It's not a mater of taking wealth from the rich and giving it to the poor. It's a matter of making the poor richer.

Each country/region has separate problems and thus the practical steps at implementing changes will differ in each Country/region. However development comes at the "cost' of the elimination of many features of the world's cultures.

In strict Muslim countries there will always be a lack of jobs and wealth because ll of the things which generate jobs and wealth are prohibited.

If everyone wears the same outfit there is no fashion or model industry. Less retail becomes more warehouse instead of retail -- less advertising

Banking restricted mean less jobs and less capital

No night clubs or entertainment eliminates thousands of jobs

In fact if all there is is religious study than the economy will either stagnate or even be nonexistent.

Just like under communist regimes, where political though is necessary -- less time to be productive.

All the cultural highlights o western society is what makes the jobs that drive the luxury market which pulls along everything else.

Steel manufacturing is necessary because there is demand for appliances and cars and building, all demanded by people making more money to buy things. But if women can't even drive than that's half as many cars right there.

In America, keeping up with the Jones creates the necessity for ever expanding commerce.

In the rest of the world keeping up with the Jones is impossible because the Jones themselves have rigged the culture against those struggling to make more money.

Because nothing exists in a vacuum or unconnected to other things it is necessary to consider economy law politics, religion, etc.., or a large, or macro level.

But also individually.

And it would seem to be difficult to pull a George Washington type out of the morass of the Arab Middle east, or even South America

Or Asia

And thus we need to work over a 20 to 50 year period. To pull these nations out of their horrendous situation. To bring even Kenya or Uganda out of their situation will require decades of education, and development and it is the USA that must do the education

Places, whose cultures and politics abhor US involvement will necessarily, remain backwards

It is on the one hand, their right to remain backwards, but on the other our duty to eliminate that very backwardness

Because it is the individuals human rights to live better.

If we truly believe that all men woman are created equal then we cannot stand by while these people suffer.

Military Action

This may become necessary to take out recalcitrant leaders We must clarify our goals

To bring every nation on the planet to the level of well being as the same is enjoyed in the USA

For each country region a stated plan of development must be promulgated

Without this development we are

1) condemning millions of people to a Hobbesian, Malthusian dilemma

2) In effect encouraging the best and brightest of these nations to come to America, or other English Speaking lands.

If Mexico remain the 2nd 3rd world hell it is then we will never stop the flow of immigrants from there

If we can help develop Mexico then they will remain home to build that society The resources spent on guarding our Mexican border would be better put to use in developing the nation so that our border there will become like our Canadian border.

There is nothing inherently wrong with even a majority of citizen not voting A case could be made that it shows a very healthy society one where the differences among potential politicians is so minor that those not voters are willing to accept the outcome not totally to their liking, but realizing that the differences comes down to toamyto and tomahto

People who argue that everyone should be politically engaged is using Marxist Thought

For it is he that put for the idea that everyone must be engages in politics. With the huge complexity of America, it in fact becomes impossible for all people to be personally informed, engaged and ready to vote on every issue. What make America great is that no one has to be into anything, yet whatever you're into is fine.

If you are a politics maven or even an activist -- go for it. If you could be bothered, no problem, stay home.

If you are merely a sports fanatic than have at that, knowing intuitively that it's a human right to be into what you're into and not bothering anyone not into it.

Thus in America especially, and to a lesser degree elsewhere in western culture, these two people can meet at work or play, interact peaceful and then go about their interest elsewhere.

In countries where domestic dissonance leads to violence insurrection, whether random, atomized or coherently organized, it is always where government and leader think everyone should be involved in the same thing, to recommend other pursuits for other reason is nonconformist, hence subversive.

These nonconformists either make a beeline for America or become domestic dissidents.

Making money and having fun are the only peaceful cooperative human endeavors. The politicians and rich keeping people poor in poor countries because they rely on Marxist thought.

In America domestic violent insurrectionists and there aren't many, always have a leader who thinks he knows what's best for everyone else. At least those that he favors, because there is usually some group of people whom he disfavors.

The rich and powerful in poor countries are definitely doing what they can to keep poor people poor

They are not doing it as capitalism though. It is definitely what Marx described as capitalism

But what Marx was talking about what landed aristocracy and hereditary power. Which was what the described in England

Communists and socialist societies, merely transferred the names.

The state enterprise become the new landed aristocrats and as is their want, the new lords tried their best to make sure their children and their sibling children and their 3rd generation children the inheritors of their powers and riches

In every so called classless society there are clear classes observable

In South America the landed aristocrats are still old families, the state enterprises, the church that they lack the titles duke, lord and king, doesn't change the nature of their existence

In Africa and Asia too, in the same as 1840's England which si what Marx studied.

That post feudal, pre modern society was securely anchored in the zero-sum game of wealth which the catholic church has been promulgating since the beginning.

Northern Europe's Protestantism wiped out the zero-sum game ideology which is why non-Catholic northern Europe is richer than catholic southern Europe

Zero Sum -- where it is believed that there is a finite amount of wealth in the world, or dukedom and thus, if the one with the least gets a little more the one with the most believes that he now has a little less. And no one is altruistic enough to allow that.
