Training ground Bust Up Again

Once again Newtown Celtic's Wednesday night training has been over shadowed by a bust up among players. Although this is a separate incident entirely to the Jones O'Brien bust up some while ago, it just seems to be an all to regular occurrence in the Newtown camp.

Timmy Hogan and Paul "Squidgy" Seymour who is currently on a trail at the club were involved in a training ground brawl - and the Newtown team-mates were playing on the same side. The bust-up happened at Newtown's training ground on Wednesday night in front of their astonished team mates.

An eye witness said: "Squidgy lost possession and it seemed that Timmy said something. Timmy became angered at his teammate's "showboating" in a practice match. "They started off about 15 yards apart exchanging verbals, got closer and closer until it all kicked off and punches were thrown."  The brawl was finally broken up by assistant coach the Grunt before Squidgy stormed off to the dressing room.

Newtown manager Paul Harty called the warring duo together on Thurdsday afternoon and demanded they settled their feud. Both players were selected for Sunday's  game against Clodiagh at Barry Park but Squidgy announced himself injured. Squidgy has no history of disciplinary problems, but Hogan hair- trigger temper has caused problems for him in the past.
